Gallagher Square at Petco Park is open to the public on select non-game/event days, with a playground for kids of all ages AND a dog park!
🎟️ Free entry on public access days 📍 Downtown San Diego, with the entrance on J Street near Tom’s Watch Bar 🐶 Includes a fenced dog park 🗓️ Check the official Gallagher Square calendar before heading out, since access and hours vary with games and events!

🏛️ Every second Tuesday of the month, San Diego County residents get free admission to the Air & Space Museum, plus Storytime Engineers with a story and hands-on craft.
💰 A $5 donation is recommended for storytime.
We went for their Little Wings, Big Dreams event, made a dragon craft, listened to a story, and played in the Moon Base room — a fun space for little ones to explore and imagine life on the moon! 🌙
We finished by exploring the rest of the museum, and my toddler had the BEST time!
Good to know: ✦ No reservations required, but spots are limited for storytime engineers ✦ Comic-Con Museum next door is also free for residents on the second Tuesday ✦ Next Storytime Engineers: November 10 — “Sky’s the Limit” 🪁 Make and fly a bird kite and decorate a birdhouse!
Such a fun way to spend a whole morning or afternoon! Save this for your next San Diego toddler adventure. ✨

Love these ideas and thanks for you for sharing all the details, so helpful even for a SD native/ fellow sahm! Curious how’s the parking for Petco park/ Gallagher square and Seaport village? I haven’t ventured that way much recently!
