Society just accepts the idea that one or both parents go to work from 9-5, 5 days a week and you spend time with your family on the weekends and evenings. Moving to North Carolina was step one in changing that. My husband found a new job to allow me to be home with our kids. Now the goal is to find a way to all be home together and still do the things we like to do - travel, explore, daily adventures, etc. I know that sounds crazy, but we have never been ones to just accept the “normal” life. One year ago I never thought I’d be home full time with our kids, and I’m hoping next year my husband says the same thing!
