Bedtime doesn’t need to be difficult! I picked up the @madebydentists toothbrush and toothpaste from @target to make bedtime easier and more fun!

I can’t be the only mom who gets nervous when nighttime rolls around and we are getting our babies dressed for bed. Are they going to be too hot or cold? SightAware is helping ease some of those worries with their contactless skin temperature readings. One less thing I have to worry about!

getting outside helps me be a better mom, so a few times a week we go on a pj walk. Everyone stays in their jammies and we just go on a walk around our neighborhood. No scooters, bikes, balls, etc. I know that stuff can cause stress for me or arguing and the entire point is avoiding that. We look at decorations, dogs we pass, airplanes, and talk. Everyone is able to stay relaxed which means I can connect with my kids.

8 years together next week.

8 years ago I dreaded the thought of biology lab. And then our professor assigned random groups, (which originally made it even worse) and I was lucky enough to be paired with you. I remember i left lab that day and said I have the hottest lab partner🤭 Bio quickly became my favorite class. Bio class turned into waiting for you after Spanish before my american government class. In those 8 years we have both graduated college, lived in 2 apartments, 1 condo, built a house, moved across the country to another rental..well a hotel but that’s another story, got engaged and married, had 3 babies, said goodbye to our sweet Lou, got a cat and two dogs, went on 20 trips/vacations (2 more planned in the next few months!), I got my first teaching job and also left that job to be a sahm, and so many things in between. I never imagined this would be my life, but gosh do I love it! Turns out bio lab wasn’t so bad🥹

We got the mini AOO (same formula that you love but just smaller!) and had to share some with our friends — especially after she messaged me a few weeks prior asking about @tubbytodd! What better way to share then with a boo basket🎃👻

As a SAHM to three kids, I don’t have very much time to prep and cook dinner. I need quick, easy, and something my kids will eat. The whole family loved this one. My toddlers even asked for seconds!!!

Garlic Butter Sausage & Potato Skillet

**Ingredients:**

* 1 package smoked sausage, sliced
* baby gold potatoes, halved
* 1 bell pepper, chopped
* 1/2 medium onion, chopped
* 1 head of broccoli, chopped
* 2 tbsp olive oil
* 4 tbsp butter, melted
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 tsp smoked paprika
* 1 tsp Italian seasoning
* ½ tsp onion powder
* ½ tsp salt
* ½ tsp black pepper
* ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

**Instructions:**

1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. Toss halved potatoes with olive oil, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Spread potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for 15–20 minutes.
4. While potatoes roast, cut the sausage, bell pepper, broccoli, and onion.
5. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and cayenne pepper.
6. Remove potatoes from oven and add sausage, peppers, and onions. Pour garlic butter over everything and mix to coat.
7. Roast for another 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until potatoes are tender and sausage is heated through.
8. Sprinkle parm cheese on top and broil for a few minutes until cheese is melted and everything is crisp.

Society just accepts the idea that one or both parents go to work from 9-5, 5 days a week and you spend time with your family on the weekends and evenings. Moving to North Carolina was step one in changing that. My husband found a new job to allow me to be home with our kids. Now the goal is to find a way to all be home together and still do the things we like to do - travel, explore, daily adventures, etc. I know that sounds crazy, but we have never been ones to just accept the “normal” life. One year ago I never thought I’d be home full time with our kids, and I’m hoping next year my husband says the same thing!
