2 minutes agoThe amount these billionaires have paid into the campaign could have just as easily been given to the government as tax - none of them would feel any worse off and the money could have been used to fund public services… what a waste of money. What’s the point in having all that wealth if all you do with it is spend it to try to prevent having to spend it?

an hour agoIf they have $230 million to fight this proposed tax, they have the money to pay the tax…and the $230 million would at least be going back to the community instead of to a campaign.
an hour agoand don’t forget they can borrow limitless cash against their “virtual” wealth at nearly 0% interest.
2 hours agoIf the billionaires are spending that much to fight against a wealth tax.......couldnt they just pay the tax?
2 hours agoJust because they decide to gamble their money in the stock market doesn’t make the money any less real 😐 TAX NOW. YES on 40; NO on 41 and 42
2 hours agoUnfortunately this needs to be applied at the federal level, not the state level. The argument that people will leave the state to hang onto their wealth is valid; they would be less inclined to leave the country.
