🤩Last night, I had the tremendous honor of receiving the Special Service to the Arts Award at the Daniel Lewis Dance Sampler, in recognition of my advocacy for cultural organizations, my efforts to ensure their voices are heard, my commitment to protecting arts funding, and my continued support and promotion of the arts in our community.

I was genuinely surprised and deeply touched by this recognition, because the truth is, I do what I do simply because I believe in it, because I love it, and because I cannot imagine life without the arts.

Whether it is ballet, music, theater, cinema, or the visual arts, I firmly believe that artistic expression enriches our lives, inspires our souls, connects us as human beings, and makes our communities stronger. We must continue raising awareness of the extraordinary value of the arts and fighting to ensure that every cultural organization, large or small, has the opportunity to thrive.

The arts are not a luxury. They are essential to our humanity.

To Hannah, Diego, and Daniel, three of my dearest friends in our wonderful dance community, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful gesture, for your friendship, and for considering me worthy of such an honor. It means more than you know!

This recognition only strengthens my determination to continue advocating for the arts, supporting my fellow cultural organizations, and reminding our community that when we support the arts, we invest in a better world.

I truly believe that THE ARTS WILL SAVE THE WORLD!
