Nothing hits quite like that quick look you give your girl when the speaker confirms exactly what you were just talking about at dinner. 👀😩

I knew when my sis @divasafi reached out last month to go with her to see @sarahjakesroberts @womanevolve that going was a must!!

Still, I hesitated for a moment… “with so much going on, can I afford this right now?” Even though I was unsure, I rationalized away the guilt with, “It’s almost my birthday; I can do this for myself.” 🎉🎂

And now I know I couldn’t afford NOT to be there. God has recently impressed upon on me to slow down and live out the second pillar of my own SPREAD framework (Prioritize Rest & Reset) and that’s what I’ve been doing no matter how uncomfortable it feels.

Yesterday felt personal. It was special. It was intentional. And it was necessary. I’m grateful for the freeing conversation and fellowship at dinner followed by the sighs of relief, laughs, cries, and “uh huhs” in the @auditoriumtheatre from all of the women who felt seen, heard, deeply understood, and validated. 🤗🧡

I always say that Rest is a requirement and a right. Rest is resistance. And I now I see that @luvvie was so right when she said that, “Rest [for so many of us] is work.”

With that, I am grateful for new awareness and renewed perspective from @sarahjakesroberts and @tashacobbsleonard that I have ALL AUTHORITY because of the ONE who lives in me and it’s about time I use it!

This past year tried to break me. My faith. My health. My finances. My marriage. My kids. My business. At times I felt lonely, broken, and betrayed. BUT GOD is BIG enough to handle everything that feels too big for me. Not only can He handle it, He HAS and He will CONTINUE to.

I have absolutely nothing to worry about because if GOD be for me…

Well, you know the rest 🧡☀️🥹
