I have learned so much about myself and my creative process over the past 30 days through the 303030 sketchbook challenge.

Every day, the brilliant @andrealopezgallery
@nancycloonan
@aimeebonhamart
give the participating artists a new prompt.
It might be making a particular mark, painting with a non-dominant hand, working on a different surface, or anyone of 27 other ideas designed to get us thinking differently.

I’ve always sketched, somewhat sporadically, but this time I kept to it! all 30 days! and I decided to work on individual pieces of paper, not in a sketchbook. This gave me the freedom to work bigger and bolder and without expectations. I could always throw it out if it didn’t work out (😅interesting)…
And something happened, new ideas started showing up, and for some reason I kept making chairs. That’s what I loved most about this challenge. Giving myself permission to experiment without worrying about the outcome.

So here they are the seven chairs that appeared along the way…Who knew I’d start painting chairs!!!!

This post is mostly a love letter to those three women who started the @303030sketchbookproject. Thank you so much for putting in all the time and effort to help out this group throughout the month. For your encouragement, your lovely comments, sharing our work, and creating a little community of like-minded artists.
