💛Whale Harbor by Mary Beth Keane💛 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “One little decision, one single choice, and you end up with a completely different life.” A good book makes you feel a part of it. The way this book pulled me in!! I was fully consumed and read it in one weekend. Rich and complex characters and a story that spans generations, Mary Beth Keane has constructed the perfect family drama. Oh, and under 350 pages, this book is both all-consuming but also very approachable. Though, I wish it never ended! I will read anything Mary Beth Keane writes. This novel spans decades and continents, beginning in 1960s Ireland. We follow the eleven Joyce brothers as some immigrate to America and others stay in Ireland, bonded by both tragedy and success, as all families are. Both heartbreaking and beautiful, I simply could not put this book down. I suggest going into this one blind. I wish I didn’t even read the synopsis. I toggled back and forth between the print and the audio and would recommend both. Moe Dunford narrates this story beautifully. My only gripe with the audiobook is the absence of the author’s note. This is my formal petition to audiobook producers to please, please include the authors’ notes and acknowledgements within the audiobook. Whale Harbor is already the Good Morning America’s (@gmabookclub ) November book club choice for good reason! ⁉️Family dramas are one of my favorite genres, and this time of year, with the start of the holiday season, is the perfect time of year to read them in my opinion. Swipe 👉 through this post to see six of my all-time favorite family drama books. We have many others, too, that we’ll share in a couple weeks. Do you have a good family drama book to recommend?! #whaleharbor #marybethkeane #familydrama #ireland #fivestarread
So when you witness this rebirth, know that it’s divine…
