Hope

🌎This month’s poem for the #firstlinepoets project, created by @emmajanepoetry. This month’s first line was given to me by the lovely @solaceinraindrops.

Hope holds so much emotional weight and investment, and this can be both an anchor and a burden. This duality also means that hope is not bound by rules. It can rise, fall, die and grow again, like leaves on a tree. And just like the leaves that fall around a tree, even fallen hope can nourish the rebirth of new hope, provided one lets the rain of truth reach the roots, holds faith that time will give perspective and heal wounds, and continues working towards their dreams through every season. Importantly, hope is both a product and an inspiration for the growth that bridges the gap between reality and our dreams.
