What a day at the @delifresh_ltd Young Chef of the Year 🍽️
Eight of the UK’s most talented young chefs had three and a half hours to cook a starter, main and dessert, and every plate that came out of that kitchen looked incredible. Huge congratulations to all the finalists, and to Sophie Gray from North Seaburn, who took the title. So well deserved!
We were part of the exhibition alongside around 80 fellow Delifresh suppliers, chatting to chefs and hospitality teams from all over. The chocolate and coffee extracts got plenty of curious looks (and a lot of sniffing), mostly because they’re not something many people had come across before. It was lovely to share the story behind our vanilla too, from how we source it to the orchard in Bali.
Oh, and the vanilla shortbread went down a treat.
