SHALL WE TALK ABOUT YESTERDAY? 🎄☕😂
The Love Local Market – Festive Edition is the BIGGEST market I organise, and every year it gives me a few extra grey hairs and a stomach full of somersaults!
There are so many variables when planning an event like this, especially the weather. Thankfully, the weather gods were reasonably kind. A bit damp and misty, but no rain, not too cold. We’ll take that as a win! 🙌
❤️ Our stallholders were, quite simply, brilliant.
I say it time and time again, I don't invite grumpy stallholders back, and I mean it! Life's too short. The people who support Love Local Market aren't just talented at what they do, they're genuinely lovely people. The support they show us, and each other, is what makes this market so special.
☕ Now, about the coffee…
Blimey! We were hit with some HUGE orders yesterday, and at times there was a 30-minute wait. I can only apologise if you were caught up in the queue. We can only make coffee as fast as the machine allows, and sadly, it doesn't have a turbo button! 😂
Our team were absolute stars, heads down and cracking on until we caught up. I'm incredibly grateful to them all.
📸 And then there's the lack of photos!
I'm usually too busy organising, cooking, sorting and talking to take photos....and because the space is so big, the pictures I do get never show just how busy it really was! Which really pains me as I can usually take pretty good photos of anything else!
Trust me, it was a brilliant day, full of positive vibes, happy customers and plenty of sales for our local businesses.
When I started this, I wanted to create something more than just a market. A place where small businesses could come together, support each other and thrive.
And do you know what? I think we've built something pretty special. ❤️
So, to every stallholder, customer and everyone who came along, bought something, grabbed a coffee or simply supported us… THANK YOU!

You had a nice range of stalls there - we didn’t stop for a coffee because of the queue but did buy some bits off the stalls, and can’t really fault you for the queue! 👍
