Excerpts from New York By Day, the immersive installation by Optical Animal at the new LaGuardia Airport Terminal B in NYC

The work is part documentary and part meditation - a celebration of NY and the people who live here, and a city-wide search for the things that connect us to one another.

On view at LGA every day from 8am - 11pm

Excerpts from New York By Day, the immersive installation by Optical Animal at the new LaGuardia Airport Terminal B in NYC

The project allowed us to walk the city from end to end, looking to capture on film and on audio tape just an ounce of the magic one can feel on a typical day just about anywhere across the 5 boros

It led us to find some beautiful corners and to meet some incredible people - affirming that in this city you can strike up a conversation with a random stranger and more often than not they’ll share some wisdom or perspective that can change the way you see the world

A celebration of the city at its best, and a celebration of the LOVE, EMPATHY, and EMPOWERMENT that has always been at the heart of what it means to be a New Yorker

New York By Day is all LOVE ❤️ from start to finish. It allowed us to travel to all corners of the 5 boros, meeting and speaking with neighbors to find what connects us, and what makes this city the greatest in the world.

Featuring the voice of Larry from Morningside and others ❤️😎 by @pablo_finkelstein

New York By Day, a 20-minute immersive film experience by @opticalanimal is now on view and open to the public at LaGuardia Airport in NYC.

A love poem for New York - and the daily impromptu symphony one experiences while moving through the city.

The film plays across a super widescreen 95ft continuous LED wall at the LGA Atrium Business and Conference Center in Terminal B. by @pablo_finkelstein
