My heart ached when I saw this bleached cyanotype jumpsuit. The rich cyan became a murky yellow.

This was an experiment to fix a bleached cyanotype and thank goodness that it worked!

This is a reminder that bleach, phosphates, baking soda, and washing soda which can all impact the color of cyanotype go by many different names. When you purchase cyanotype clothing from me, I include a list of approved detergents.

Moments like this are exactly what I hoped this space would become. 💙

A place to gather, learn something new, make with our hands, and spend a few hours creating together.

This beautiful Cyanotype Lantern Workshop was led by @pacificbloomstudio , and I’m so grateful she brought her creativity into Scarabajo and shared it with all of us. ✨

There are still a few more workshops and gatherings coming before this chapter of Scarabajo comes to an end. This space was always meant to be temporary, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us… this is the time. 🌿
