Moments like this are exactly what I hoped this space would become. 💙

A place to gather, learn something new, make with our hands, and spend a few hours creating together.

This beautiful Cyanotype Lantern Workshop was led by @pacificbloomstudio , and I’m so grateful she brought her creativity into Scarabajo and shared it with all of us. ✨

There are still a few more workshops and gatherings coming before this chapter of Scarabajo comes to an end. This space was always meant to be temporary, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us… this is the time. 🌿

Check out the upcoming workshops through the link in bio, and join our newsletter to be the first to know what’s coming next.

Come be part of it while we’re still here. 🪲🍂

🪲🕯️💙You didn’t know you needed a creative day like this

This was our Cyanotype Lantern Workshop at Scarabajo Botanical Studio @scarabajo_botanical — a little creative space in downtown Seattle where we gather, learn, make things with our hands, and connect through art, plants, and slow craft. 🌿

A very special thank you to @pacificbloomstudio for bringing this beautiful workshop to our studio and sharing her creativity with us. 💙

And if this looks like your kind of afternoon, come find us while we’re still here.

Our current space is temporary, which means there are only a few more workshops left to experience it. 🕰️

See what’s coming next + join our newsletter so you don’t miss a workshop before this chapter comes to an end.

Meet artist Jessica Morse @pacificbloomstudio of Camp Fluff 🌃Seattle!

Jessica’s cyanotype practice is rooted in resilience, connection, and the beauty found in life’s changing experiences. Her background in Occupational Therapy shaped her understanding of healing, vulnerability, perseverance, loss, and joy, which continue to influence her work. Using natural elements and the organic process of cyanotype printing, she creates expressive pieces that reflect both fragility and strength while inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find meaning in the shared human experience.

Catch her work next Saturday at Camp Fluff Seattle at The Ruom at 6PM. #campfluff #seattle

I first met Jessica @pacificbloomstudio this year at Folklife, where I saw her little magical blue booth and completely fell in love with her work, and especially these lanterns. 💙
I remember thinking how much I would love to have one of my own.
Since then, we’ve had the chance to cross paths and chat a few more times, and when Scarabajo got its studio space, I thought: how magical would it be to have Jessica come here and teach us how to make these lanterns? I asked her, she said yes, and now it’s actually happening. 🌱🪲
There’s something so beautiful about the way she brings botanicals, sunlight, and that incredible cyanotype blue together. 🌿✨
In this workshop, you’ll create your own cyanotype prints and transform them into a botanical lantern to take home, a little piece of nature and light to welcome fall and make the cozy months ahead feel even more magical. 🍂🕯️
This has already been one of our most popular upcoming workshops, and only a few spots are left! ⏳
Comment “CYAN” and I’ll send you the link to join us. 💙
