Praed è la creatura di Raed Yassin e Paed Conca: i due uniscono la “shaabi” egiziana, la musica popolare, a quella “mouled“, suonata nelle cerimonie di trance religiosa. Created in response to conditions of war and displacement, Carrying the Home asks what happens to reproductive and domestic labor when the home itself becomes unstable, disappears, or has to be rebuilt elsewhere. Through sound, movement, field encounters, collective research, and performance-making, the work follows the labor that remains, and the women who continue to carry it.
