TW: AH-MAZING COMMUNITY ALERT. 🚨

For the first three months of baby boy‘s life, we had the pleasure of experiencing true community like never before. Almost weekly we had a friend or family member who traveled hours to Chicago, sometimes leaving their own children, to help us with baby boy.

The immediate postpartum phase is one of the hardest times parents will experience. Learning how to balance life with a newborn isn’t easy and I think a village is imperative for success. Thank you for your sacrifice, thank you for the love you provided, thank you for the late night or early morning shifts you took to let mommy and daddy get some sleep. We could not imagine doing this without y’all! Carson is so loved!

I have loved you for years but this past year takes the cake. Thank you for being the best husband, father, son, brother, and leader of our family that I could ask for. 3 months postpartum vs 38 wks pregnancy.

First. Day. Back! It’s been 3 months since I delivered and besides some walks around the neighborhood, I haven’t really been working out. I took my time to bask in the new era of motherhood but now it’s time to get back to it! My first day back in Zumba was fun but I definitely felt the difference in my stamina. Excited to get back to doing some things for myself.

I’M SICK OF (some of) Y’ALL. 🤣 I have had so many tears in my clinic this week because y’all put my girls through hell before they get to me. I’m about to send the bill for my Kleenex supply! Thank you to my colleagues who do their best but we HAVE to do better as a speciality!

As GYN surgeons and endometriosis specialists, most of our hard work isn’t seen because it’s all intra-abdominal. Along with taking TONS of pictures to give to my patient, I also do a little arts and crafts when we’re closing so they can see just how much I care!
