Full circle moments are powerful. Another meaningful event I was honored to moderate over the weekend was The Black & Endo Roundtable hosted by @endo_black.

Facilitating a conversation with doctors, researchers, healthcare providers, and advocates hit me in a deeply personal way. The younger me — suffering, confused, and searching for answers for a disease I didn’t even know had a name — could have never imagined that nearly 20 years after my 2007 endometriosis diagnosis, I would be guiding a conversation among the very people working toward solutions, providing care, and pushing research forward.

And to do it in a room filled with people who look like me made it even more powerful because representation matters — especially in places where your healthcare has often gone ignored. I’ve written and spoken about endometriosis for years, but this moment touched a part of me that was still healing.

To everyone who participated in the roundtable and is fighting to make life better for people living with this disease, thank you. Your work matters.
