Y’all! I’m so grateful for this moment. Paint with Les has been living within me for so long and I’m just overjoyed that I built the courage to share it with the world.

Hi folks, I’m Les! 👋🏽. I’m a regular girl from the South Bronx with a vision to share my art (in all forms) with the world AND to build a place for you to do the same!! I identify as a lover, a gatherer of community, and daughter of the sun 🌞

So why ‘paint with les’? I know what they say about niches but I want you to know that Paint with Les is more about bringing color to life as we know it, in what ever form speaks to you. Together, we will be exploring art and wellness and there’s no limit to what we can do!!

Peace fam ✨

Full of gratitude towards my community as I embark on this journey to fuse Mental health and Artistic expression. Art and Community have really transformed my life and I feel so blessed to do this work.

If I’m being honest, as an organizer, I don’t get to create as much anymore. So before I kickstart my Healing Grounds Residency and in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m taking this time to practice what I preach.

I’ve never been the most consistent on social media, but I want to use this space to share the ways I care for my mental health in hopes it might support someone else on their journey.

I planned to kick off Wellness Wednesdays today with art-making and reflection, maybe some
Movement- you know all the works. But honestyyyyyy—I didn’t have it in me, and that’s my truth 🥴.

If there’s one thing my wellness journey continues to teach me, it’s that rest is not just necessary, it’s one of the most powerful tools in my healing toolbox.

So cheers to naps in the sun. ✨

📢 PEACE FAMILY- I got some exciting news! 🎉

I’m beyond honored to announce that I’ve been selected as an Artist-in-Residence for the 2025 Create Change cohort with @laundromat_proj 🌟✨

Through my project, “Healing Grounds,” we’ll explore how the Bronx community can come together to reconnect with healing and wellness in meaningful ways. This project invites us to reimagine the “healing journey” by centering Art, Play, and Joy—transforming our shared spaces into a “Wellness Playground.” 🎨💫🏀

I’m excited to build, dream, and heal alongside my community while using art as a tool for positive impact and lasting change. 🙌🏽💛

The Laundromat Project is a Black-rooted, POC-led community-based arts organization dedicated to advancing artists and residents across NYC as change agents in their communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for “The Bronx in Color: Healing Grounds” 💛 This year, we came together in a space that celebrated the art, resilience, and spirit of the Bronx while honoring the memory of those we’ve lost. This day was about making mental health a shared conversation, a safe release, and a source of healing within our community. Together, we’ve taken steps toward breaking stigma and building support for one another. Let’s keep this energy alive as we continue uplifting each other through art, wellness, and connection. 🌱
