🌱 Will you help us Seed the Future?

The LP makes sustained, multi-year investments in artists and neighbors as co-authors of transformation. Over the last 20 years, The LP’s various artist services have directly invested over $2 million in 320 multiracial, multigenerational, and multidisciplinary artists and 180 innovative public art projects. But our work is never done alone; everyone from our neighbors, artists, faculty, and facilitators to our volunteers and donors, together we are CREATING CHANGE.

Every fall, through our People-Powered campaign, you pour your support into The LP. This year, we have a goal of $50,000 — vital funds that will directly support our 20th iteration of the Create Change residency and fellowship, our core initiative.

🫱🏾‍🫲🏽Over the next ten days, our People Mover volunteers will share how supporting The LP is an investment in our collective future. By donating to People-Powered—no matter what the amount—you are moving resources towards a larger movement that centers humanity over profit and is informed by ancestral wisdom, not algorithms.

Can you help us reach our goal? Donate to People-Powered: Seed the Future! and remember by donating $20 or more, you’ll be invited to GATHER, our annual celebration that spotlights our outgoing Create Change AiRs and provides space for joy, reflection, and imagination! Donate via the link in bio!

A READ OF ROSES EXPERIENCE IS HERE 🗣️📣💫

Happy new day family. I am so honored to announce that I will be your DJ from 1pm-3pm + do a live painting at 3pm - 7pm at the magical healing grounds created by @paintwithles ✨

Both pieces are inspired by the current Solar eclipse and the power of the sacred return to ourselves. I’ve been inspired by the idea of coming back to self and celebrating the growth and progress that comes a long with it. Inspired by the cosmos and Venus I am honored to share my current art piece with you. May it spark imagination and love inside of you and reawaken the stardust that is you.

Family I am absolutely honored to announce that Read of Roses is back with another experience with the cosmic Healing Grounds with @paintwithles

Thank you for creating these bright and safe spaces for our imagination to run free in! ☀️

9/21 1pm-7pm 🪐

I will have the honor of sharing music with you all as well as creating a live painting for you.

As always here at Read of Roses all art is rooted in intention. Both sound and visuals are inspired by the Sun and its illuminating properties that we also carry inside each of us. May we always remember our light and return to the perspective of the rose. The infinite possibilities and the infinity in us.

I’ll be bringing in a piece that I started on the Lunar Solar Eclipse and share my progress with you all. How beautiful is it that when we return to our passion things grow? 🌱

I am honored and filled with joy to share this medicine with you all!

See you soon. 💫

“Fall’s Paradise”
Special project I did for a special person! Thanks to someone who includes and motivates me greatly in the art world. I wanted to capture the change of seasons in a piece while also including shades of skin tones. This blended birthed this creation for Leslie. ✨

These organizations didn’t just partner with Be You Fest—they believed in it.

They saw the vision. Felt the mission. And chose to bet on us—on community, on creativity, and on what happens when our voices lead.

From day one, they trusted we’d build something real.

So when you pull up to Be You Fest, know it’s backed by a crew that believed before the hype.

Hit that save and show love to the folks who is making this all possible 💗✨

Video captured at @lr2 of course!
