“We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams.
World-losers and world-forsakers,
Upon whom the pale moon gleams;
Yet we are the movers and shakers,
Of the world forever, it seems.”
-Arthur O’Shaughnessy

Thank you to everyone who passionately participated as a vocalist, attended as a loving audience member, or joined us on the live stream for the CPFA VOCAL CONCERT 2025 🎶

Everything we do at CPFA is made possible by this incredible community ⭐️

Theatre is about so much more than dramatic acting and a stage. Bringing a production to life takes a dedicated team working behind the scenes to prepare every detail- from costumes and makeup to lighting and props. Today, we’re highlighting the costuming and design team for CPFA’s production of Much Ado About Nothing! 🎭

Under the guidance of Ms. Aileen Lynch-McCulloch and Mr. Jason Greenfield, our costuming and design team have thoughtfully prepared costumes, props, and design details for the production. Every detail has been carefully selected, reviewed, and, when needed, altered to help bring the world of Much Ado About Nothing to life.

On Thursday evening, the cast and crew took the show outside for the very first time. Seeing the costumes and props come together onstage made opening night feel so much more real!

We can’t wait to share all of their hard work with you when Much Ado About Nothing opens THIS Thursday, September 24! ✨🎭

⭐️Opening night is just over 1 week away! Welcome to Messina Gardens, where love is blooming, gossip travels fast, and no one is quite as clever as they think they are. Join us for Shakespeare in the Park with Much Ado About Nothing, a fast moving comedy of romance, rivalry, deception, and second chances- filled with sharp wit, big laughs, and plenty of mischief under the open sky, performed by high school students from CPFA.

📍Performances will be held at the West Goshen Community Park, East Bradford Park, Dillworth Park’s Greenfield Lawn at Philadelphia City Hall, and East Goshen Township Park! by @palcscpfa

The CPFA Jazz Mavericks played their first public gig of the school year at the @growingrootsfarmersmarkets in Downingtown today. There's no better way for the new members of the band to learn to play in a #jazzcombo than playing for hours with the returning members. taken in Kerr Park by @palcscpfa

Welcome back to school! 🍎 CPFA middle school students celebrated the first day of classes on Wednesday. The 2026 “Kick Off Day” event included a relay race, an activities fair, and introductions to their classes! The students and staff certainly did not let the rain hold them back from making memories on #day1 taken in The Center for Performing and Fine Arts by @palcscpfa

New and returning CPFA families got together during the first week of school for a potluck-style meal at West Goshen Community Park in West Chester!

The back-to-school picnic was a way for students and parents to meet other families in CPFA, and to get some more one-on-one time with their teachers.

For an artist, the work does not stop during summer break! ☀️ Ms. Speer spent her summer teaching and attending dance conferences! During one of her many adventures, she taught a summer tap intensive, made even more special by CPFA student, Lydia M., participating in the class! As Ms. Speer would say, we hope you have had a tap-tastic summer and we can’t wait to kick off another great year! 🍎 by @palcscpfa
