To my ancestors,
📍to the 3 generations of my family that couldn’t actively engage in their Judaism under Soviet oppression,
📍to those who seek to rekindle their cultural and religious pride,
📍to those seeking more Jewish Joy in their secular world,
📍to those who vibrate Am Israel Chai in their bones,
📍to the many chutzpah queens (and kings) I’ve met
📍to the diaspora that feels a united thread & continuity

This is me. If you’ve known me for 41yrs - hi D - you know I’ve always been an engaged, curious, proud Jew. I’m quite happy to show that side of me to anyone else that wants to peek 👀 into the ancient culture, nationality and vibrant religion that is Judaism. ✡️

My oldest daughter turns 12 tomorrow - in many ways I feel we are both of Bat Mitzvah age, as I feel an even deeper pull towards my ancestors and the inheritance of carrying the holy torch. 💙 #chutzpahqueen #amisraelchai #onepeopleonehope by @pamelapekerman

Stop Antisemitism - I see this an an internal job. While I appreciate everyone’s impulse to combat hate, I’m not going to waste my energy convincing anyone to love me & my people.

For me combating antisemitism means focusing on educating my children - and myself - on the monumental contributions individual Jews and Judaic values have had on the growth of Western Civilization. From the Declaration of Independence to modern banking systems, from bagels 🥯 to ballpoint pens 🖊️, from Batman to Bob Dylan … and a few life-saving vaccines along the way

We are a people of innovation in the face of forced limitation

visionaries of hope amidst unimaginable hopelessness.

To #stopantisemitism start with fierce education.

Duality. 10/7 🇮🇱 💙Somber AND Dancing.

We can hold two things at one time -

to MOURN the lives lost,
to mourn the cracks emerging beneath our feet,
to mourn false reality of safety

&

to DANCE again with Torahs
to dance with gratitude
to dance because we are here!

I hope you don’t let this become another day. I hope you pause. I hope you create a space for your kids to know why we MOURN and why we still DANCE.

Postcard 🍋 from Capri … and THE dress.

Came here 2011 for our 2yr anniversary.
Again in 2019 with closest friends
2026 is family vaca vibes, and I’m loving it.

⛵️We are a small, but mighty clan, sailing thru life as each other’s life savors 🛟, anchors ⚓️ , shipmates or sails 💨 - whatever is needed in the season.

Hubs, 3 kids, mom, father-in-law, sis, bonus brother (aka brother in law), and nieces. Family is a gift.

Kind of Chutzpah Chic to jump on a trend only if it aligns with your values 👑

Today we welcomed the month of Elul with a Neshama body & soul flow led by @rabbijalpert. Elul gives us a chance to search within, reflect on how we want to show up in the New Year and where we can spread light.

We raised money 💰 for @tikvaus to provide kosher Rosh Hashanah meals + back to school aid for Jewish orphans from Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Books, bubbles & a few red flags. 📚🥂🚩

Last night, the Friends of the Scarsdale Library brought another fabulous night of culture + community to Scarsdale, hosting a Summer Book Soirée at SBA Vice President Danielle Settembre’s Hair Saloon & Café.

The evening celebrated author + journalist Jeannette Settembre and her juicy debut novel, Little Red Flags—with an extra-special twist: Danielle and Jeannette are sisters! ❤️

Guests enjoyed cocktails, bites and a Q&A on the patio, all at one of Scarsdale’s coolest destinations. Hair Saloon & Café is the first concept of its kind in Westchester—a full-service salon + spa + café + full bar under one roof. 💇‍♀️🍸

For nearly 80 years, FOSL has helped make the Scarsdale Public Library a vibrant cultural hub, supporting programs, events and experiences that bring our community together.

Local organizations + local business + books + cocktails = a pretty perfect Scarsdale summer night. ❤️🚩

Two years ago I began collecting vintage Jewish charms. The first was a massive Magen David with all 12 tribes. I later found the same charm twice, in a smaller size. A few months ago I reached out to a dear friend from the Jewlery industry to help me replicate my charm.
