This September, for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re proud to introduce the PANDA Catalyst for Cancer Research — our 2027 initiative funding three fronts in the fight against childhood cancer, all at Steele Children’s Research Center.

Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in American children, yet it receives less than 4% of federal cancer research funding. In Arizona, that gap runs even deeper. The Catalyst is how we help close it — by funding the prevention research, the people, and the breakthroughs that turn today’s discoveries into tomorrow’s cures.

Three fronts. One goal: a healthier future for kids.

Our hearts (and panda bins) are full! 🤍🐼

Thanks to your incredible generosity, our PANDA community raised $74,230 through Pandas for Patients this year. That's more than 2,100 cuddly pandas ready to bring comfort to kids! ❤️

Here's a fun fact: 646 donors from 31 states joined in this year. Your kindness keeps growing, and so does our reach.

The first pandas will be delivered next week to children receiving treatment, and we can't wait to share their smiles with you. Every gift also helps fund pediatric medical research for healthier futures for kids. 🔬

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped spread comfort and smiles to these brave kids, and a big shout-out to @lernerandrowe Gives Back for their continued partnership and generosity, helping us reach even more children this year.

This morning, PANDA members handwrote tags for each cuddly panda bear featuring heartfelt messages from our generous donors. 🐼
