For the past five years we have hung our friend’s artworks on the walls of our studio. Paintings by @anthropomorphicmythologyofhope, @maxberry and @hollyterry__ and now our first series of photographs by @kararosenlund. It’s always such a joy to see the pots and paintings and photographs interact. We first met @kararosenlund ten years ago at a market hosted by @vieillebranche, Kara and her partner, Tim have been huge supporters of ours over the years so it feels really wonderful having Kara’s work hanging on our walls. The photos have been a beautiful addition to our Open Studio, we are open daily until Sunday 23rd of August, 10am - 4pm. by @panpottery

During this making cycle, Matthew @anthropomorphicmythologyofhope and I were chatting daily discussing making things about the mystery of being alive. I then dived into the work of Italian painter Georgio Griffa and before I knew it, I had painted and decorated so many pots in a way I had never done before. It’s always a little daunting unpacking a kiln with many pots so different from our traditional colour palette but it’s been a joyful feeling seeing the spontaneity of the colour in the studio! Our studio is open for the next week until Sunday 23rd August, 10am - 4pm everyday. by @panpottery

Today was a magical one! Thank you so much to everyone who came to visit our studio today, we truly appreciate the support and it’s always so nice to see everyone.

Sometimes when I light the fire of the kiln and enter the rhythm of stoking the wood, it dawns on me how elemental this process is. Fire, earth, water and human energy. I’m taken aback that this is the life we live and without all of your support it’s not possible, so thank you!

We are open again tomorrow, Sunday December 14th, 10am until 5pm. There are so many beautiful pots from this latest firing and still fresh pots coming out of the kiln! by @panpottery
