POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On January 19, 2026 (MLK Jr. Day), my fellow community member @aaangievargas participated in 🧊 patrol efforts in the greater LA area. They called the cops on her—and my opinion is that @alhambra_police handled the situation extremely poorly. In a recent viral video, I saw Alhambra PD officers block her car, intimidate her, and even allow the BP aggressors approach and question her—putting her life in danger.
This is unacceptable and disgusting. Ms. Vargas (and anyone else) is well within her right to observe federal agents. She broke no traffic laws, kept a safe distance, and did not obstruct operations. Alhambra PD needs to do better in protecting and serving our residents and community. They should NOT be the ones violating our First Amendment rights.

This Monday (1/26), I commented at the @cityofalhambra City Council meeting. I won't go into too much detail—you can watch the recording online if you wish. However, I am encouraged and energized by the support and response of my community. We demand safety, respect, and accountability.

Lastly—I am disappointed in the behavior and attitude presented during the meeting by Councilmember Katherine Lee, my district rep. Our community is SCARED. It was not the time and place to center your ego when we are crying for help. I am looking forward to choosing a better candidate for your role in the next local election, and I encourage my community to do the same. taken in Alhambra, California by @pantslint
