. i know this year has flown by so so fast… but with it so is the deadline for our personalised ornaments… so we can make sure these are ready in time for your tree and gift giving we close online orders on nov 22 (just over a month away) but if you need them in late november order NOW…. each ornament is hand stamped letter by letter, coloured, glazed and fired… we have made thousands and thousands over the years- stars, birds, angels, cats, hearts, dog bones… and know that they are so loved, we take great care in each one made and put love into each soul’s name written…

. last saturday brisbane formally bid farewell to one of its most beloved sons, david malouf…

the past few months my sister @tiffany_l_johnson with her @paperboatpress_editions and i with my ceramics have been working with david’s niece Leah Phillips. Tiffany created the order of service for the brisbane and sydney memorials. and i some special gifts for leah, including some plates and quote tags adorned with david’s words.
It was such an honour and privilege to spend time talking about david with leah and creating this for her and the memorial…. our dad went along on saturday as both an avid fan of david’s work and to also be there to represent us. it was by his accounts a lovely memorial.

. while i’m working on tours and sourcing for the gallery in japan for a couple more weeks my fab online manager anna is listing lots of beautiful wares, working hard photographing measuring etc to get on the store for our far away friends around australia… we know our customers aren’t always able to walk through the door of our ashgrove gallery so this year we are committed to bringing more to our online space…. here’s a peek at what has been listed the last week or two. 🤎♥️🤎 by @paperboatpress

. three days have flown by of our kyoto creative tour. another utterly beautiful group to share this city and surrounds with… tomorrow we head back into the country side for our final day with a museum visit, a long lunch and a pottery wander. it will be sad to say to goodbye… as it always is, we feel so lucky to give our guests such memories, and, like them, treasure every one of them… 🤎 by @paperboatpress

. i’m restless, things are calling me away, my hair is being pulled by the stars again - anais nin

although for the first time in a long time i don’t feel restless (today anyway) my mop of hair feels right at home

and i feel like the stars are shining on this little kyoto house today and it’s feeling more like home all of a sudden with our beautiful new dream @truckfurniture @h_i_r_i_n_k_o_

. back in pbp house kyoto for a few weeks: including our october tour, christmas sourcing, a few meetings and a day off here and there… my little home away from home was even more beautiful than i remembered it…
amongst here are a few more treasures from (brisbane) home just unpacked from my suitcase to add to the kitchen…

counting my blessings as i open the windows, say hello to our neighbours, and breathe in the clear mountain air around our humble little house in yamashina…
