We are collaborating with 2pt (@2pt.interactive) to run a series of beginner Blender workshops titled ‘A Blender Workshop’

These will be FREE, in-person workshops held at the new space in the Paper House studio and lead by the wonderful smart people at 2pt.

If learning Blender is something you’ve been wanting to do, but weren’t too sure how to start or needed something more than a YouTube tutorial, this is absolutely for you!

We are currently accepting expressions of interest via a form on our website. Because of limited spots, attendees will be selected off their applications and commitment. Sadly not every application is guaranteed a spot.

The goal is to have a broad range of people at these events, so if you’re under represented in our community, please please apply.

These workshops aren’t specific to game devs either!

Important Information:
- Applications close: 31st October 2025
- Notified: 3rd November 2025
- Workshop dates: Run weekly over November
- Workshops are FREE.
- Held in person at Paper House
- You will be required to bring your own laptop
- We will be using Blender 4.5.2 LTS
- THREE workshops in total (you are expected to attend all three)

We’ve released a minor update for Paperbark on Steam!

It’s been a while since we’ve given our sleepy wombat some proper attention and we still get a lot of requests from people, institutions and education requesting access on newer operating systems and devices.

So we’ve dusted out the cobwebs on our project and fixed up some things!

Notable Updates:
- Now runs on modern macOS and Apple Silicone
- We’ve nerfed the cockies so they’re less mean
- Fixed up some frame-rate issues with high res settings
- Unity Security update
- Some other minor quality of life tweaks.

We’ll be updating the iOS version of Paperbark so it walks in step with the updated PC version really soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Paperbark is also on sale to celebrate this little milestone! If you have already purchased it, we’d love a positive review, they go a long way 🐨🍃

Thank you to everyone who still tells us stories of their friends and family playing it for the first time. We love hearing how much people are touched by our game!

A few weeks ago we collaborated with our mates 2pt Interactive (@2pt.interactive) and hosted A Blender Workshop, which was a series of in-person tutorials, for anyone who was hoping to learn 3D modelling with Blender.

This was a first time for us to run a workshop at this calibre and had a blast putting it together.

A huge big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. We had a lot of laughs, snacks and polygons.

A big shoutout in particular to Josh (@joshtatangelo) for running the sessions and always operating with a great deal of care and class. Also to Brett (@brettscapinphotography) for once again documenting our endeavours and making us all look good in the process

We hope to run more of these in the future, but let’s get to Christmas first. 🟨⚫️

What do ghost give out to trick or treaters? BOOBERRIES!

Look, that one was probably a stronger joke, but the last slide wouldn’t get to say “a goblin” and choices needed to be made.

Another choice was coming up with “BOO’D & WEATHER” which we’re pretty happy with.

Either way we hope you enjoy our little spooky comic and have a really fun Halloween. It’s a weird event for us in Australia but it’s hard to find an excuse not to dress up and get outside in the beautiful Spring weather during the golden hour.

These characters will appear in a new (and unexpected) party quest we’ve been cooking up for Wood & Weather, so be sure to head over to the Steam page and Wishlist that thing! We’ll also be doing a W&W update soon, so keep your creepy eyes peeled for that one!

Our curated range is made up of board games we personally think are good, not too difficult to pick up and have unique playstyles to try out. The collection also features some classic and inspirational secondhand games that have been hand picked that we reckon you’ll find interesting or outright hilarious.
