@papersneaker created a collection of 100 sneaker sculptures made from paper: "Each sculpture is a re-interpretation of @Nike's Air Jordan 1, the sneaker that many believe launched sneaker culture in the mid 1980s. Each individual sculpture is made from 23 individual parts - a technical feature specifically designed to pay homage to the number Michael Jordan wore during his time with the @chicagobulls." One of the reasons why I love paper is how you can build details and layers with intricate cut outs and placing contrasting colours together to make things more vivid. Also I have an obsession with clean cut and fold lines.

Retro games have a two-fold appeal.

Firstly, classic gameplay found with older games like Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong have become timeless experiences. Secondly, gameplay is emotionally associated with happy past experiences, triggering positive emotions for players.

The PlayStation controller was released alongside the original PlayStation in 1994 and was inspired by the controller of the Super Nintendo.

Teiyu Goto, the controller’s designer, had suggested that the button’s symbols are supposed to represent what actions they stood for. According to Goto,the blue cross (or X?) and the red circle stood for "yes" and "no", the triangle was for point of view, and square was similar to a piece of paper that would let players know that button was for menus.

The NES controller is a true classic of gaming, and it's still easy to see why.

It's the template, which set the standard that inspired a thousand controllers in its wake.

The DPAD, the two buttons, the rectangular shape of the controller itself; it was short and sweet but enough for gamers to understand as they took their first steps into the wide world of gaming.
