Another wonderful bluegrass jam at Lucinda’s has come and gone. I was especially happy to see my friend Charles Stacy join the jam at the first time! I also got to lead this incredible group of musicians in a couple songs: Blaze Foley’s “Oval Room” and John Prine’s “Paradise”. Can’t wait for next week! taken in Lucinda's by @parker_otto

Such a wonderful time to be had @lucindasnyc with @whippoorwill.band starting the night off with wonderful music! With a mix of covers by the likes of Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell and Leadbelly along with excellent originals, Carter and Tom know how to get a room shaking and dancing. There was also a surprise appearance by @johncushingofficial of @the_slide_stops on trombone which is never to be dismissed. Keep your eyes peeled for the next performance of Whippoorwhill and keep on dancing down at Lucinda’s!

What’s better than karaoke? How about karaoke with live piano accompaniment and an excellent community of singers down at Wild Horses? This Tuesday, @lesliegoshko is here to play a wonderful selection of songs across a variety of genres including rock, country and pop with plenty of showtunes and American Songbook classics for good measure. There’s no cover and no drink minimum for all this wonderful music so what’s stopping you?

Every Sunday down on the Bowery, the wonderful @akplaysmusic leads the Hair of the Dog Hootenanny at Wild Horses, delivering three hours of music spanning from folk and country to rock and blues.

Every week, she invites some friends to join her and this week the wonderful @danielbowden stepped up to bring some excellent guitar and a beautiful, rich voice to the table.

The Hair of the Dog musicians are always happy to accommodate requests and to play the kinds of music guaranteed to make you glad you came down to this little corner of Manhattan. Coming to you every Wednesday from 8:30 to 11:30pm, it’s Country Karaoke at Wild Horses! Featuring a full band, you and your friends can review a massive list of songs to sing from your favorite artists. Whether you love classic country, outlaw, modern sounds or a bit of rock or pop sprinkled in, you are bound to find a song that you’ll want to sing your heart out to.

Sign-ups start at 8 and there’s no cover, no drink minimum and no cost to sing with the band. However, if you could be kind to the band’s tip bucket, that would be lovely. While you’re watching your friends sing, also consider the many delicious drinks the bar has to offer as well as savory treats like empanadas or soft pretzels. See you on Wednesday!
