“Green Rocky Road” is comin out soon….this Friday, October 2nd. Enjoy an American traditional in a way you haven’t quite heard before. The version you’ll hear is deeply informed by the jazz-blues flare of Karen Dalton, which I absorbed on her Pine Street Recordings (Live in Boulder 1962). Funny enough, my great-grandparents Elsa and Jack lived on Pine Street around that same era.

Photos by Parker Otto on a lovely excursion in the Harriman wilderness area just north of New York City.

My take on “Green Rocky Road” includes some priceless lyrics by folksinger David Massengill, which I heard straight from the horse’s mouth at a Cafe Wha? tribute to Dave Van Ronk put on by Fabio Fantuzzi earlier this year. Van Ronk was a Greenwich Village Folk Revival stalwart who loved to play this tune in his own way, though it is commonly accepted to have originated in the Southern Delta region in the oral tradition as a children’s chant.

Onur Tukel’s new feature comedy ‘A Company of Thieves,’ which I co-produced with Parker Otto, alongside producers Jacob Karim and Michael Minard, will premiere at Woodstock Film Festival 2026!

So happy to have been a part of this one, from helping cast the film to a little cameo of my own. It also marks my parents’ acting debut 🥳

Congrats to Onur and everyone involved! ❤️🎬 #nyc #indiefilm #woodstockfilmfestival

Last week, Billowed sail ventured to Allentown, PA for The Great Allentown Fair, and the band had a great adventure and a great set, too. We are grateful to have such a successful maiden voyage, as we continue to grow our crew. Enjoy these wonderful photos taken by Parker Otto from our journey!

Just reminiscing how its been a year and more livin in New York City, about a year since this goofy live karaoke attempt of Johnny Cash’s “One Piece at a Time”

Around that time, yours truly appeared in a lineup at the Slipper Room in the East Village (@slipperroomny), organized and led by a different Jonny, last-name Connell (@jonnys_oddjobs), the frontman of a band called the Fightscuffs (@the_fightscuffs). Since that time, Parker Otto (@parker_otto) fricken produced and released a full-length feature film, Long Live the Fightscuffs, which features Michael Pezzuto (@michael.pezzuto) and I as the duo Sneaki Bandit.

The whole film is freely viewable on YouTube - if you’re curious, see link in my bio/story. Prepare for some earnest East Village underground live arts, as well as some phenomenally steamy burlesque♨️💃🏽.
