We were delighted to see the Park featured recently in The Irish Stew by John and Sally McKenna, reflecting on the hotel’s contemporary art collection, partnership with Château La Coste, and their dining experience at Landline.

Today is World Art Day 2025, but every day at Park Hotel Kenmare is a chance to celebrate creativity, and the artists who inspire us.

We have a bold, fresh, eclectic and exciting selection of work from talented contemporary Irish and international artists on our walls — we love the intriguing conversation that happens between modern art and this historic hotel.

Over the next few days, we’ll be highlighting some of the profound stories behind some of these artworks, beginning with a powerful statement by Chicago-based social practice artist, Theaster Gates.

It may look like an Abstract Expressionist painting from the ‘60s, but it’s made from strips of decommissioned fire hose, like those used to break up peaceful protests by the school-age demonstrators during the Civil Rights movement in Birmingham, Alabama in 1963.

Charged with political symbolism, this work by Theaster Gates honours the protest and reclaims the power, reminding us all of the importance of standing up to oppression.

“Supplier-wise, we have great people we work with here at the hotel.” Meet Cyril O’Donoghue, our local prawn supplier and one of the great people Head Chef James O’Sullivan is talking about. Fresh from the waters around us, Cyril’s prawns make the short journey from Kenmare Bay to the kitchen at the Park.
Great produce, great people, right on our doorstep.

Two MICHELIN Keys for 2026.

We’re delighted to retain our Two MICHELIN Keys at Park Hotel Kenmare.

It’s been a big year at the Park, with our room refurbishments completed and the opening of Landscape, our new spa.

But while a lot has changed, what matters most to us hasn’t, creating a place where our guests feel welcome, well looked after and at home.

This recognition is a lovely reflection of the team behind the scenes and, most importantly, the guests who choose to spend their time with us.

Inside the historic @parkkenmare , Landline showcases modern Irish cooking through the produce of County Kerry. Local seafood, Irish meats, farmhouse cheeses, my advice is to lean into the seafood

The dining hall itself is beautiful: elegant, old-world, and exactly where you want to settle in for a long dinner. But if the weather cooperates, ask to have dessert outside on the patio. It’s the perfect way to end the evening.

What I Ordered:
🐦 Quail - Roast breast, peas fèves, girolles, and leg croquette.
🦀 Spillanes Crabmeat - Kohlrabi, almond, lovage, caviar, and fig & peach ajo blanco. The standout for me.
🐑 Kerry Hill Lamb - Rump, violet artichoke, olive tapenade, aubergine, and braised shoulder.

💶 2 Courses: €95 💶 3 Courses: €110 Both include canapés, bread, and petit fours.

🔊 Vibe: A beautiful modern dining hall, polished service, and the kind of leisurely dinner that belongs at a Irish country hotel.
⭐ Best For: A special dinner in Kenmare, local Irish produce, seafood lovers, and a long summer evening.
