Brooklyn Zoo. New York City.

When the team behind this project came to us, they wanted something that had never existed before in
that city — a full-scale indoor movement facility where parkour, calisthenics and physical culture could live under one roof.

What you’re seeing isn’t just a gym. It’s a designed environment.

Every obstacle, every rig, every surface placement was considered from a movement perspective — how the space flows, what it demands of the body, how it serves a complete beginner and a seasoned practitioner at the same time.

The graffiti art isn’t decoration. It’s the culture of the space made visible on its walls.

This is what we do.

MERSTHAM PARKOUR PARK!

We are thrilled to unveil our latest build, Merstham Parkour Park, in Surrey in the UK, a vibrant new public facility which is already gaining incredible attention.

One of the largest parks in the UK, its bespoke features make it stand out as a truly innovative and inclusive movement space for all ages and abilities.

One experienced parkour athlete commented, "We've been to most parkour parks in the UK, and this is THE ONE!"

A proud grandparent shared, "My daughters 4 and 6 year-olds can access every area. The surface is so safe and it's great to see it being used as intended, both the children and I are inspired by the adults practicing parkour. It's a joy to watch!"

This is why we create these spaces. In an increasingly sedentary world our mission is to provide excellent spaces for all people to move more, to move often and to be inspired by others moving around them!

The project was brought to life through collaboration with Blakedown Landscapes for Reigate and Banstead Borough Council.

A space changes what’s possible.

Not metaphorically. Literally.

When you walk into an environment designed specifically for movement — where every surface invites exploration, every structure asks a question of your body — something shifts.

You stop being a spectator of your own physicality and start being a participant in it.

This is PKGen Republic, Blackwall, London. Designed and built by Parkour Designs. Home to Parkour Generations — the original parkour organisation, since 2005.

It serves everyone from first-timers to professional practitioners. Schools, sports teams, developers and private operators come here to understand what a world-class movement facility actually looks and feels like.

If you’re thinking about building a space like this — for your community, your development, your school or
your facility — this is what’s possible.

Abu Dhabi

A stylish and functional space we designed for a well known gym complex in Abu Dhabi, blending parkour with calistnenics use.

Modular elements were included to allow the coaches in the space to keep it fresh and engaging for clients no matter how many times they use the space.

LEAP Parkour Park!

LEAP was our first ever U.K. build, created for the City of Westminster as part of the London 2012 Olympic Legacy Mark.

An incredible space that’s still in use today, it has seen hundreds of fantastic events, classes, workshops and courses over the years. It was even home to a few of the legendary Rendezvous events by @parkourgenerations 👊

Design has evolved a lot since those days, but we still love this monumental and monolithic movement space!

For children, variety of movement is a KEY component of a healthy upbringing!

They need spaces to explore and adapt to, obstacles they can interact with and overcome, and environments in which they can solve problems and learn about their bodies.

Getting to know how they can navigate an environment helps them understand their athletic potential, their psychological strengths and their lateral thinking abilities.

At the @londonparkourschool we have created a soft-hard play space with various grades of foam density and levels of complexity for children to experiment with. And it works great!

Say hello to our latest build!

We have been working hard for several months to get the UK’s newest Parkour Park ready to go, and it’s now open for use.

Built for Reigate and Banstead Council in Surrey, the park is in Merstham and is a public-use space designed for both traceurs and the public at large to move in, play on and enjoy.

With challenge zones ranging from beginner to advanced, the space will keep even highly skilled practitioners engaged for years, and we can’t wait to see how the community puts it to use.

Stay tuned for Grand Opening event details, and make sure to follow us for info and news on our other builds worldwide 👊

NEW PARKOUR PARK IN THE UK!

Our team at @parkourdesign are producing another incredible Parkour Park, this one going in at Merstham in the Reigate and Banstead area of Surrey, England.

Tasked by the local council with creating a space for people of all ages to move, train, get fit and stay healthy, we have been working with Blakedown Landscapes to produce something truly functional.

In design, simple is often effective. There’s no need for hi-tech, digital playgrounds when all evidence shows that humans respond best to challenging and unique obstacle-rich environments.

The Merstham Park is now under construction and should be open for use in early 2025.

This is what a street designed for people
actually looks like.

Not a bench bolted to concrete. Not a
sculpture nobody touches. A modular
environment where the same structure
invites a parent to sit, a child to climb,
and a practitioner to train — simultaneously,
in the same public space.

We designed these reconfigurable elements
to integrate movement, play, seating and
natural greenery into a single coherent
piece of urban furniture.

Because cities shouldn't just be passed
through. They should be lived in.
