A few decades ago, Ross left UC Santa Cruz with one class left to graduate when he came down to LA to work as an actor. He intended to go back to finish but work and life just kept on coming. It’s always nagged at him, and this past Fall he finally took his final UCSC course and aced it— despite booking a big role during the midterms and swapping back and forth between memorizing lines and taking notes on seafloor structure and tectonic plate movement. I am admittedly a total sap, so at my insistence (begging) he walked for the commencement ceremony this weekend. When they called his name and he walked across the stage, our nearly 6-year old daughter yelled out, “That’s my daddy!!” And she got to see that life is not made up of straight lines. Every life is different. And we can all carve our own path to the life we want.

Happy Graduation Ross Whitman Partridge, class of 2026, UCSC. 👨🏻‍🎓💗

10. Ten years ago we did the deed and this year we got to return to the scene of the ceremony and bring the new member of our family— who insisted on a complete play-by-play and reenactment of our wedding day. Love sure is grand, and it’s the grandest by your side @partridgeross. Happy anniversary, love. by @partridgeross

Happy Happy Happiest Birthday to the guy who tries to make every day full of rainbows for us. The one who can always make me laugh, who always has something interesting to share, or a perspective that helps me look at things in a new way, who is beautifully present for our daughter and shows her so much love, kindness, and compassion. Your sweet, sensitive, soulful heart and how deeply you care about all those you’ve surrounded yourself with… We are the luckiest to have you. Love you, magic man. by @partridgeross

Happy Happy Birthday to the Queen Mama @lafleurjennifer. Life is led by example and you are the kind leader. Life is led by joyous action, not words, and you always are moving toward who and what is needed. You are always there. So grateful for the love tree we planted many years ago and all the flowers it yields today. by @partridgeross

We were so lucky to have @juani.feliz and @alicekremelberg as our lead couple. They both brought so much warmth, insight, and depth to the production.
