Yo the eastern sierras are friggin huge.

Back in California to climb mountains for a week. Wasn’t sure where my comfort level is these days, but we hit it and then kept going for a few thousand more feet. 😂

Found the pucker, powered through, and found the whole reason I came out and climbed.

Grand Traverse 2021 in the books.

One of the most incredible experiences of my life.

After five months of training and anxiously looking forward to the finish line, we made it.

So grateful for my partner @blainer_blainer for always pushing me and helping me to prepare for such an outlandish day in the woods. Without a doubt the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

Enormous thanks to all who expressed support, and to my lady @loonslipper for always being there and listening to me babble constantly about the GT.

Thrilled with my new artwork, designed entirely by @stevenson.a
The rune, Algiz, comes from the Elder Futhark runic alphabet, and means: “Protector, protection, elk”

In Vinotok, it’s worn by the torchbearers to symbolize our role as protectors of the ceremony and our community.
Alex and I met as torchbearers three years ago, and I’ve wanted ink from him ever since. Now the dude’s my roommate.

The Red Lady blessed us with superb conditions on a most excellent winter solstice. A good soul sweat, some time for reflection, and a renewed energy towards positivity as the days grow longer. Smiles prove it.

“What is not for sale?” The good life is not for sale.
There is a difference between the good life and the easy life.
The good life takes work. It’s gritty, messy, frustrating, and because of that, it’s incredibly rewarding.
Vinotok is my favorite part of the year because of the way this community comes together to celebrate life, Crested Butte, and our neighbors. It’s an opportunity to reflect and to regenerate. And it’s a hell of a good time.
The good life is not for sale here in Crested Butte, it has to be earned. But life is certainly good. taken in Crested Butte, Colorado by @patchurch25

Ruby Range Traverse:
9 peaks from Purple Mountain to Ruby

Mind bogglingly magnificent, completely solitary, and one of the burliest physical feats I’ve done

HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking to test their mettle on some intermediate Class 2/3 sustained ridges, with moderate exposure and some Class 4/5 moves taken in Crested Butte, Colorado by @patchurch25
