Fall is upon us 🍁🍂 by @patrianajones_
“Do I even know God ?” I’m not talking about knowing the prayers Or reciting the scriptures. Or even fasting for all the key dates and holidays. But knowing God. Intimately, personally, earnestly The kind of knowing that can never be captured by borrowing the steps of others. It’s experienced, by earnest and passionate pursuit. When I first took up philosophy as a major, my therapist asked me, so where do you now stand with God?” I smiled at her and said, “Firm. Philosophy, critical thinking… can never make me question the existence of God. I’ve experienced God, felt the Holy Spirit’s presence. Thinking does not and cannot erase that. BUT, it does examine some of the systems I’ve been focusing on in PLACE of God”. … it’s a question worth exploring: do I know God.. or just the systems around God? #godsgirl #faithbased #philosophyquotes #chileee #thinkers by @patrianajones_
The journey of Siddhartha into the Buddha has been one of my favorite things to deep dive, since returning to school as a philosophy major. So much can be learned from him. The most important being: know for yourself. #spiritualwisdom #fyp #godsdaughter #philosophyquotes #trustgodsplan by @patrianajones_
Books, cheetah, and thrifted vintage. All things I adore. by @patrianajones_
To this 23 year old version of myself, I would say: Girl, embrace the way you view the world. Just because another person doesn’t agree, doesn’t mean you’re wrong. The goal isn’t agreement, it’s authenticity. You got it babe. Trust it. 🤎 #lettertomyself #adviceforlife #girl #30sclub by @patrianajones_
Hi, I’m Patriana. A born-in-the-90s creative, who recently returned to school to finish her degree in philosophy. I also love colorful or 90s aesthetic fashion. Writing, reading, and engaging on topics that speak to my heart has always been my love language. ❤️💃🏾 #digitalculture #creativethinking #philosophy #millenniallife #healthymindhealthybody by @patrianajones_
As a millennial raised in the generation that took social media and made it into a legitimate career option, I’ll be the first to say… Chileeee, the hindsight. Although social media played a crucial role in opportunities, income, and endeavors that only entered my world because of it, I can say I’ve had a tricky relationship with social media throughout my twenties. At one point, I seriously became concerned with how it was influencing and sabotaging the way I formed ideas and conclusions about life. As a creator, it was hard not to factor public reception into how I thought and what I thought about. Over the last two years, I’ve taken several 4–6 month sabbaticals from social media as I sat and thought about life itself, uninterrupted, and removing as many influences as I possibly could. As I settle back into sharing online, I look forward to creating from the most authentic parts of myself. Because that’s the point of it all. It’s not about building a brand that has no backbone. Or gaining money that has no integrity. The act of earnest creativity is the point for me. So, with that, I look forward to just sharing again. From the depths of my inquisitive mind and seasoned soul, I validate myself to be the wildly colorful, semi-socially awkward (I blame my being home-schooled), and deep thinking gyal that I am. And with that, my latest philosophical rant series. #philosophy #rants #oldsoul #90style #fypシ❤️💞❤️ With love, by @patrianajones_
