A new painting is finished. 🎨

Forgotten Place No. 9

Another quiet place, another piece of a landscape slowly disappearing into memory.

I wanted to focus less on the details and more on the atmosphere — the strong red roofs, deep greens, warm light and the feeling of an old building surrounded by nature.

This is an original oil painting on canvas, painted in my studio.

Forgotten Place No. 8

Left on the beach in Kąty Rybackie, this old fishing boat has long since stopped sailing.

The waves still reach its hull.
The wind still carries the smell of the sea.
But the people who once worked here are gone.

I painted this piece to preserve a quiet moment before time erases it completely.

The best paintings rarely begin with a brush.

Today, my daughter and I took a train to Chojnice with no real plan—just a desire to spend time together and see where the day would take us.

We wandered through quiet streets, looked for forgotten corners, and collected small moments that might one day find their way into a painting.

I often search for places that carry traces of the past, but some of the most meaningful inspiration comes from the present.

A train ride.
A shared adventure.
A day I’ll remember long after the sketches are forgotten.

From a €0.70 flea market find to a little oil painting.

I gave an old yellow frame a second life by replacing the picture with my own still life of two pears.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little imagination to create something new.

Would you have bought this frame?

Giving old things a second life, creating a new story.

I found an old photograph in a frame at a flea market. It cost me just 3 PLN. Someone might have seen it as an ordinary, forgotten object, but I saw the potential for something new.

I decided to give it a second life. The old photograph was replaced by a small still life of pears, painted in oils on board, measuring 19 × 26 cm. I kept the original yellow upcycled frame, which gives the piece its own unique character.

I love stories like this. Objects from the past don’t have to be forgotten. Sometimes, all it takes is a little imagination to turn them into something completely new. 🎨

What do you think? Would you give an old frame like this a second life?

⚓ “Sołdek” | 40 × 30 cm | Oil on canvas

A commissioned oil painting depicting Sołdek, the historic ship and one of the symbols of Gdańsk.

I wanted to capture not only the vessel itself, but also the atmosphere of the Gdańsk harbour — its architecture, reflections on the water and the character of the old ship, interpreted through expressive brushwork, strong colours and visible texture.

A quiet face. A loud message.
Graphite, paper, and a moment of tension.

A new graphite study.
Exploring light, shadow, movement and the quiet atmosphere of the figure.
Another step in developing my own language between drawing and painting.

Graphite on paper, 2026.

Some things are meant to be temporary.

Apples picked, lemons waiting on the table, mushrooms gathered today and sealed in a jar — small fragments of an ordinary day, preserved before they change.

Perhaps that is what still life has always been about: holding on to what inevitably passes.

Some faces return to us in dreams.
Sometimes clear and familiar, sometimes only fragments — blurred shapes and shadows we almost remember.

Maybe memories are like that too.
They fade, but never completely disappear.

Faces from Dreams — a series of sketches about memory, absence and the traces left behind.
