Come hear the story of Virginia Poe next month! Nov 12-15 at the Phoenix Theater in Minneapolis. Tickets in bio 🖤🖤🖤 by @patrick.mcandrew

We got quite the crew together to chat about the future of the film industry in the age of AI. Hosted by @foealliance, along with TAILORU Collective, we chatted about why it's so important to protect artists as AI becomes more and more embedded into our way of working.

Big shoutout to everyone who attended and to my fellow panelists @weissmanlaw @blayzeteicher @de227 for bringing such important perspectives to the conversation. And thank you to Peter March for guiding the conversation as our moderator.

Last month, I had a fantastic time performing in a modern adaptation of ‘Cyrano,’ written and directed by the talented @katiemchrist and produced by @smallwavesco as part of the @mnfringe @theatre_in_the_round It’s always rewarding as an artist creating something with incredible, kind and talented people! by @patrick.mcandrew

For all of my NYC friends! I'll be in New York on Tuesday September 15 to host an event on the Future of Film. We will be talking about the rise of AI in the industry, how to protect human artistry, and what responsible AI practices look like. I'll be joined by @blayzeteicher and @weissmanlaw so it will be a great conversation! Should be a great way to meet with directors, producers, technologists and other artists as well. You can register at the link in the comments. Hope to see you there! #filmindustry #entertainmentindustry #aisafety #responsibleai by @patrick.mcandrew

Last month, I performed in my first show in Minneapolis with @intothinairtheatre ! Under the direction of @bridget_e_foy we performed King John, a lesser known Shakespeare play, where I played multiple wacky roles and had, perhaps, one of my most stylish and flattering costumes to date. It was neat to play this historical tragedy as a comedy. We also performed the show on a playground which was awesome and a first for me! But more than anything, it’s been so wonderful meeting and working with such talented, dedicated, kind, and hilarious artists in the Twin Cities arts scene! I was honored to be a part of @sheidaparis podcast @bold_beginnings_with_sheida This was my second time on her podcast and we dived into all of the things I love: theater, art, and the effects that technology has on society. We also talked about @hereatthestartup, its journey and what's next. Thanks so much for having me Sheida!

Honored to have been featured in @ursinuscollege magazine for our recent production of @hereatthestartup in New York this past spring! Ursinus was such an incredible place to discover and deepen my creative voice in the performing arts, and it was fun to speak with Ursinus and discuss the journey with The Startup. Big shoutout to the Ursinus College Theater & Dance Department, the Ursinus College Music Department, and the many alum who contributed to our campaign last summer to help make our workshop production happen. More to details to come!

"Since his first performance at Ursinus, Patrick McAndrew '13 has played almost every role in the theater industry, both onstage and behind the scenes. Now his original work, which bridges theater and technology, has come to life in New York City."
