COLOUR CRAFT CORRECTION ♥️

Model — Charli

For this colour correction, my goal was to create a soft ombré effect, introducing more depth through the root area while creating a seamless transition into the lighter lengths and ends.

Starting point:
Natural depth — Level 7
Underlying pigment — Orange/Yellow
Existing colour — Natural regrowth with artificially lightened mids and ends ranging from levels 8–10
Grey — None
Texture — Fine/Medium
Porosity — Excellent through the roots and good through the mids and ends

Target:
Roots — Level 5 with a /1 reflect
Lengths & ends — Level 6 with a /97 reflect

Technique:
4-quadrant sectioning with a root application, followed by zone toning through the lengths and ends.

Formula:
Roots — Colour Touch equal parts 5/0 + 5/1 with 1.9%

Lengths & ends — Colour Touch
20g 6/0
10g 5/97
10g 7/97
5g 7/3
5g 5/4

* 1.9%

Second application:
Shinefinity 6/07 + 7/81 applied at the basin to refine the tone and enhance the final result.

Home care:
Ultimate Color Shampoo + Conditioner

The finished result created a soft, dimensional ombré with added depth at the root, while maintaining lightness and creating a seamless transition through the lengths and ends. 🤎

Lightening Formula
BlondorPlex + 4%

Technique
Herringbone highlighting technique to create a soft, blended lift while maintaining brightness and dimension.

Zone Toning
Root area: Colour Touch 10/0 + 1.9%
Lengths & ends: Colour Touch 10/6 + 1.9%

Home care: ultimate repair shampoo and mask

I chose to zone tone to customise the result through the different areas of the hair. Using 10/6 through the pre-lightened lengths and ends helped counteract unwanted yellow, while maintaining a clean, bright and balanced blonde.

This result demonstrates how considered foil placement, colour theory and customised toning can work together to create a seamless blonde result 🤍

my client was booked in for a half a head of foils, as for her colour history, she was previously colouring her hair at home with a dark box colour, and waited 3 months to do at home highlights. our main goal was to focus on the integrity of her hair, whilst blending her colour into the root.

i started with mixing 15g multiblonde blondor + 30g 4% welloxen perfect.

to add on, i also mixed 5g multiblonde blondor + 10g 1.9% welloxen perfect to use on her hairline foils as her hair was fragile and would be kept on the longest.

THE WELLABOY SETUP.

SECTIONING. (4.55pm)

first side complete (5.17pm) —>

i foiled the sides all back diagonally to keep a soft blend to her colour.

second side complete (5.39pm) —>

i began the herringbone technique, starting with her face framing, foiling in two back to back micro slices and two fine/medium weaves to create a soft blend into the herringbone pattern.

FACE FRAMING.

TONING.

CT 10g 9/16, 10g 9/97
CT 40g 1.9% emulsion

AFTER. the blend!

we finished with a soft, signature blowout.
styling with the eimi flowing form combined with the system professional luxeoil.
