Delighted that my latest short screenplay, Party Girl seems to be making an impact with film festivals. Having recently won the Best Short Script at the New York Screenplay Competition I've just become a semi-finalist with the 2026 Waterford International Film Festival which is taking place this November. A massive thanks to the festival organisers who have given Party Girl the nod. by @patrickosborne.author

"If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere..."

Am over the moon that my short script, Party Girl has just won the Best Short Script at the
New York Screenplay Competition. This story shines a spotlight on childhood poverty and how one act of kindness can change a child's life forever. Coming from Dublin's inner-city we weren't privileged but we knew the value of hard work and being able to box-clever. We also knew the value of having a close-knit community. With a bit of luck I'll get the funding to bring this story to the big screen ☘️ by @patrickosborne.author

Over the moon to have two of my screenplays selected by KIFF.
Party Girl is a short script about poverty and how one small act of kindness can positively change a child's life forever.
It Started With Us (which I co-wrote with Les Martin) is a short script about a couple breaking up and the devastation it leaves in its wake. by @patrickosborne.author

A supernatural short we made will screen at Bideodromo in Bilboa in the Basque Country , Euskal Herria . Many thanks to the team work of all cast crew and local support in Killarney Kerry to allow access to locations to bring this non- conformist ( yet linear) story to fruition. by @patrickosborne.author

Only took me 6 years to write two novels (well I did write 2 short films, 2 feature length screenplays and 6 short plays in between 😁) But the good news is that book number #3 is finished and with the editor. Watch this space. Baxter's Boys are returning for another season and if you thought that part one was mental you haven't seen anything yet 😉☘️ by @patrickosborne.author

Had the pleasure of Limerick hurling manager, John Kiely's company recently. Gave him a few pointers of course 😁 by @patrickosborne.author

Wasn't the result we wanted. Plenty of controversy, oceans of room for improvement by the Gaa but you couldn't fault the commitment from both sets of players. The Dubs left everything they had on the pitch. Best of luck to Kerry in the final. Nobody wants to be the team to lose to Mayo when they finally break their duck 😬 by @patrickosborne.author
