In this episode of Reel Talk, we enter the dark world of Chameleon, a chilling horror film set in rural Ireland in the 1980s, where a series of women disappear and a killer may be hiding in plain sight.

We’re joined by director Patrick Osborne, producer Brian Bowler and cinematographer Eugene Darcy to explore the inspiration behind the film, the atmosphere of fear and suspicion that runs through its story, and the challenge of creating a horror film rooted in a recognisable Irish landscape.

Our conversation also looks at the disturbing real-life cases of missing women in Ireland and the importance of keeping their stories alive.

Nominated for Best Horror Film at the 17th Underground Cinema Film Awards.

Submit link in culture_underground bio.
There’s just four days left to submit work for the Stoneybatter Festival Culture Walk. We showcase the work of local writers, artists, musicians and performers on a self-guided walk around the village. Each piece of work is pinned to a unique location and at the festival people discover your work by following the map on our website to each pin in turn. This is the third year we’ve put together this brilliant showcase of Stoneybatter’s creative film. So send us your work and show the world what we can do. Link in culture_underground bio. Submit by June 14th.
We welcome poetry, short fiction, visual art, music video, short film (<4 mins), spoken word, performance.
The work is all shown virtually on people’s phones so submitting is super easy for you - all we need is an image, your words or a link to your video (on YouTube)
Thanks to everyone who submitted work before (looking forward to seeing what you have for us this year). And to this year’s first timers. DM any questions.
