Amanda Strong (Director/Producer/Editor), Pamela Post (Co-Director/Screenplay) and Spotted Fawn Productions are thrilled to announce that our short stop motion animated Ts’msyen film, Haboolm Ksinaalgat (SOUL CATCHER), is making its WORLD PREMIERE at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) this September!

We’re so grateful and honoured, after over 4 years work on this beautiful Indigenous stop motion film starring Cree/Métis actress Tantoo Cardinal and Ts’msyen/German/Scottish-Canadian actor/musician Asher Maclaren, to have it showcased at TIFF.

Based on a true story from Pamela Post’s Ts’msyen father John Post, Soul Catcher sets out to right a wrong through art and to celebrate Ts’msyen worldviews and ways. With Amanda and Spotted Fawn Production’s artistry, Pamela’s story has transformed into Haboolm Ksinaalgat (Soul Catcher) - a stunning stop motion animated film filled with time-travelling supernatural adventures and Indigenous love and reckoning - and we can’t wait to share it with the world!

More details, pics and trailers coming soon!

Wayi wah! (Let’s do this!)

Alba, one of the greats of our time, has passed. Peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. A Titan in the Pantheon of teachers. A champion of clarity. A most beloved mentor and friend. No amount of words could do justice to the power of her presence. So, I will tidy my workspace, sharpen my tools, wrap my power chords a little more carefully, and when I work, do my best to imbue my craft with the utmost integrity. by @patrickzung

our sweet Miko has left this world. I will miss staring through the window into the dark night with you. I will miss you biting the air and nodding your head up for more pets. I will miss your sleeping head on my legs. I will miss you sneaking up behind me and pressing your nose on my calf, and all the times you almost tripped me. I will miss you nosing through tall grass and hopping through the snow like a bunny. I will miss your little snores and the sound of you crunching on carrots and cucumbers. I will miss your rug sculptures and sound of you biting at the floor. I will miss the click clack of your little door. I will miss the chuffing sound you make to punctuate a thought. I will miss you so much. by @patrickzung
