🌊✨ Diving with Purpose in Siquijor ✨🌊

What an incredible day at the Artificial Clay Reef in Siquijor 💙

Together with a beautiful mix of scuba divers and freedivers, we explored this inspiring restoration project of @rrreefs — and the results are truly amazing 🪸

The 3D-printed clay reef structures are coming to life:
Tiny coral babies are growing everywhere, fish are moving in, and marine life is thriving 🐠✨

And the most beautiful part?
No corals were planted. This reef is growing 100% naturally — creating a stronger, more resilient ecosystem 🌱🌊

Seeing how nature reclaims and rebuilds when given the right support is simply magical 💫

Thank you to everyone who joined and made this experience so special 🙏

And a big shoutout to @rrreefs for their incredible work in marine conservation — this project truly makes a difference 🌍💙

If you’d like to experience this unique dive and support ocean restoration, feel free to reach out to @pattiocean for the next trip 🌊

Let’s keep protecting what we love 💙

$🌿 Hidden in plain sight... At first glance, this looks like a clump of algae on the sandy seabed. But look closely—there's a tiny Hairy Frogfish hiding right in front of you! 😃💙 ✨ The hair-like filaments covering its body help it blend perfectly into its surroundings. ✨ Hairy frogfish don't really swim—they use their fins to "walk" across the bottom. ✨ Their camouflage is so effective that even experienced divers can miss them. ✨ They are ambush predators, patiently waiting for prey to come within striking distance. ✨ When it's time to eat, they can inhale their prey in a fraction of a second. How long did it take you to spot it? 👀 📍Siquijor, Philippines #HairyFrogfish #MuckDiving #MacroPhotography #MarineLife #Siquijor by @pattiocean$

Meet Roboastra gracilis – one of the ocean's most striking nudibranchs! ✨😍

At only about 3 cm long, this beautiful sea slug may be small, but it's actually a fierce predator that feeds on other nudibranchs. Its vibrant orange coloration makes it one of the most eye-catching critters on the reef 🪸

I was excited to find this amazing creature on the new artificial reef built by @rrreefs here in Siquijor 🥳
During the 1.5-year monitoring of this reef project, this was my first encounter with Roboastra gracilis on the site.

It's incredible to see how marine life continues to colonize these structures, creating new habitats and increasing biodiversity 😃💙
Every monitoring dive brings new discoveries!

Have you ever spotted a Roboastra gracilis on one of your dives? 💙

Whale shark encounters- Tubbataha, 5/13/2026. Destination Amazing. by @pattiocean

Whale Shark. 11 May 2026. Tubbataha- destination amazing by @pattiocean

Lately we experienced something truly special 💙
Scuba divers and Freedivers explored a new underwater habitat together… and the excitement was instant.

Between the structures, countless baby corals are already growing – small, but full of hope 🪸

And not just them: many fish and other marine species have already chosen this place as their new home 🐠

This shows exactly why projects like this are so important:
Our natural coral reefs are under pressure worldwide – from climate change, pollution, and human impact.

Without active protection and creating new habitats, we risk losing one of the most valuable ecosystems on our planet.

But we can all do something:
✨ Dive mindfully and master your buoyancy
✨ Don’t touch or take anything
✨ Reduce plastic use
✨ Support projects that create real change

@rrreefs shows what real solutions can look like – sustainable reef structures that bring life back 🌊

You think divers are just floating around doing nothing…

Meanwhile we’re out here spotting invisible aliens like this during a nightdive 👻🐟

Would YOU have seen it? 😏

A tiny illusionist of the ocean ✨

The magic carpet flatworm glides through the water like a living piece of art, rippling its body in smooth, hypnotic waves.

With its vibrant colors and delicate movement, it looks almost too perfect to be real—like a floating carpet dancing in the current.

No fins, no rush… just pure elegance in motion beneath the surface 🌊

Congratulations to Solène from France 🇫🇷 on her very first dive 💙

She started with a bit of fear — but with a calm and patient instructor, that fear slowly turned into pure happiness 😃 just look at her face ✨

From her very first breath underwater to spotting a rare stonefish and a sea turtle cruising by — what started with anxiety became an unforgettable experience 🐢

This could be you 🫵🏼😅🤿🪸
