I’m so excited to share that I have been asked to extend my upcoming yoga retreat to include Friday. Let’s start the party (relaxation) early! Friday, November 20, is now an optional add-on for anyone who would love a little extra time to unwind, settle in, and enjoy everything this beautiful space has to offer. Think yoga, nature walks, mocktails, cozy dinners, and a whole lot of slowing down. Our original Saturday–Sunday retreat is staying as planned, so whether you join us for two days or three, the choice is yours! November 20–22 | Haliburton, Ontario Come solo or bring a friend. All are welcome, and all activities are optional. DM me for details or to save your spot! 🤍 by @pattiposes

A simple way to help shift your nervous system: Try making your exhale slightly longer than your inhale. A longer exhale increases activity in the parasympathetic nervous system—the part of your nervous system associated with rest, recovery, and relaxation. It won’t eliminate stress, but it can help your body transition out of “fight or flight.” Try it for 60 seconds and notice how you feel. 💚 Save this post as a reminder #NervousSystem #Breathwork #Meditation #Mindfulness #stress by @pattiposes

Your mat is the cheapest therapist you’ll ever find! Ram Dass was a Harvard psychologist turned spiritual teacher who spent his life studying the intersection of consciousness, presence and healing. He believed the spiritual journey is not about becoming someone different, it’s about becoming who you already are. #quotes #health #stress #wellnesstips #yoga by @pattiposes
3 downward dog mistakes everyone makes -pushing your heels to the floor. your hamstrings will tell you how far is enough-locking your knees — your legs should have a micro bend. -locked knees = blocked energy flow. -holding your breath — downward dog is a resting pose. if you can’t breathe normally you’re working too hard. downward dog looks simple. most people do it wrong for years. the goal isn’t heels on the floor or straight legs — it’s a long spine and a relaxed nervous system. if your dog feels like work, these three things are probably why #wellness #breathwork #healthtips #yoga #fitnesstips by @pattiposes
why do yoga teachers always start with this? because cat-cow isn’t a warmup. it’s a full spinal reset. all 33 vertebrae moving together pumps cerebrospinal fluid, stimulates the vagus nerve and wakes up your nervous system before anything else. do it slow — one breath per movement. that’s when it actually works. 🐈🐮 #nervoussystem #yogascience #wellness #stressrelief #movement by @pattiposes
most people have never heard of their vagus nerve. it’s the longest nerve in your body and it controls almost everything — heart rate, digestion, mood, stress response. the good news? you can stimulate it yourself! spinal twists are one of the easiest ways. try it right now and notice how you feel after 🧘‍♀️ #yoga #nervoussystem #yogascience #wellness #stressrelief by @pattiposes
chest breathing signals threat to your nervous system. belly breathing first activates your parasympathetic system — the calm state. most people have been breathing wrong their whole life. check yours right now. #breathing #breathwork #nervioussystem #yogascience #stress wellness holistichealth by @pattiposes
meditation hallelujah ✌️✌️✌️ Studies have found that cortisol drops significantly after just six minutes of mindfulness. The 20 minute rule is a myth that keeps people from starting! Six minutes let’s go! #Meditation #meditation #YogaTeacher #Mindfulness #stressrelief by @pattiposes
