I’ve had an insane year, and I’m still struggling to find a way to talk about any of it properly. In last January, I sold my things and quit my fancy gig to chase some intense curiosities and goals I’ve been building for much of the last decade and beyond. Among them: make art without restraints, ski 120 days across three continents, get scuba certified, be closer to nature, and most of all: to design a life that would allow me to explore as much of these curiosities as much - in both breadth and depth - as possible.

a fragment of a memory that came up as I was editing these: it was in this area, I think during a moonlit hike, that a couple talked me into trying scuba diving in a later part of my itinerary - in Aqaba. A week later, I was following a diving guide to the depths of the Red Sea. At some point, he paused and pointed upward, and I saw the outline of a submerged tank above us. Its turret was covered in coral and pointed toward the glimmering sea surface. taken in Jordan by @paul_hoi

DESERTFUTURES - 2025 REEL

It’s been a wild couple of years. I left my 7-year gig over at Apple as a Producer last January and I’ve been running around. A lot. Mountains and jungles, oceans and cities - all to sink myself fully into my curiosities and orient myself toward a life and career that I truly want.

Along those lines, I’ve put together a reel of some of my work and explorations as a digital artist / motion designer in the last few years. Give it a look. Share it with your friends in the creative industry, your mom, your cute dog and your sweet elderly neighbor.

A lot of you have followed these weekly exercises that spanned over four years - I’m so grateful for the support and encouragement and opportunities I’ve gotten. I’m so psyched to have met some of you over calls and in person over the years, too - I really hope this continues.

Big love for all my friends everywhere who, along with providing incredible feedback and support, often involuntarily doubled as my therapist throughout. Extra shout to my friend @haawryluuk for doing plenty of both.
