Zodiac Ridge is 23” tall x 28” wide and it pops as you walk around. The ‘sky’ and ‘water’ also shimmer. It’s going to The Alley Gallery & Studios tomorrow. Thanks Jill & Ann for hosting my work! 🩷

Some pieces don’t feel 100% right when they are finished. They get put in a quiet corner to simmer. Weeks later I pull them out and, after a few changes, they feel better.

“If you were 100 rejections away from your dream… imagine how excited you’d be every time you heard no.” I don’t know who said that. It doesn’t matter. As an artist and designer I get rejections all the time. I’ve grown a slightly thicker skin and have learned to embrace ‘no’s’ or ‘failures’ as pathways for true growth. But once in a while I still get no’s that hit a tender spot. This month I got two. I’m gonna go ahead and be super annoyed for three more days, then I’m letting it go. Maybe I should make it two. (This new piece has nothing to do with that) 🩷

Oh yeah. This is new. Never made trees like this before. It kind of hurts my hands but I loooooove how they look so they’ll be on everything for a while. You like?

A Glimmer of Hope will be making its way to @raitmanartgalleries this weekend. It is 22” tall x 33” wide (56 x 84 cm). It’s been part of a few juried exhibitions around the country and now ready for its forever home. 🧡
