Come see Vervet Dance's "Semi-Composed," on Saturday, March 28 to see the incredible Paul Matteson in performance! Paul Matteson is currently serving as a Chaplain Resident at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. As a dancer, Paul was a member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, David Dorfman Dance, and has collaborated on many duets with Jennifer Nugent. He has taught at Bennington College, University of the Arts, Amherst and Mount Holyoke Colleges. Paul will be performing in Be[  ]ing, a semi-composed, semi-improvised work directed by Loren Groenendaal and inspired by Nancy Stark Smith's Underscore that explores being playful while in the unknown and deeply internally present with self while visible to an audience. The show is at fidget @thefidget_space (1714 N. Mascher St. Philadelphia, PA 19122) and doors open at 7:30 for the show that starts at 8:00 and ends by 9:15pm. Tickets are sliding scale $5-30 available at link in @vervetdance bio and at the door. #phillydance #improvisationaldance #compositionalimprovisation #semicomposed #performance taken in Fidget by @paulmatteson_

Hello All!! I am thrilled to announce that I will be holding class from 10-12 every Friday at Amy Novinski Ballet @amynovinski at the Bok Building @buildingbok. Thank you Amy for your beautiful space! Hoping this can become a regular offering in the Philly dance scene. In this class we will be dancing from the inside out - sourcing improvisation, malleable partnering, and luscious phrase work, an exploration of off-balanced yet precise multi-focused movement 🌀 This class is $20 or pay what you can and there will be a $10 discounted rate for former UArts students and alumni. Link in my bio to RSVP to all classes via google form. I hope to see you there, Let’s dance!!!!!! promo made by @aleesha_polite ❤️ 😁 taken in Bok by @paulmatteson_
