In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness month, we are excited to share some videos about our organization throughout the month. Today, May 8th is the day that Patrick’s mental illness took him from us three years ago. In honor of that, we have this video of our founders, Mags and Fronzie, talking about Patrick’s legacy and how this organization helps keep him alive. It’s okay not to be okay.

We had a great day at the second annual Grayson Murray Classic! ⛳️💚

It was a special day alongside some big names in golf and even a therapy dog who can read! 🐾📚

We’re so grateful to the @gm_fdn for partnering with us to support our Facility Dog Program. Through our partnership, we’re working to bring professionally trained facility dogs into schools and mental health organizations, providing comfort and connection to young people when they need it most.

This past weekend, I had the honor of being part of something truly special. 💚🐾

Sōlae Studio brought our community together for an incredible event supporting Paws for Patrick, with lululemon joining as a sponsor!

It was a powerful reminder that fitness isn’t just about building stronger bodies. It’s also about building connections, supporting one another, and prioritizing our mental health.

Paws for Patrick is doing meaningful work supporting youth mental health through the healing companionship of animals. 🐾

Thank you to Sōlae, lululemon, and everyone who showed up to support such an important cause.

Because sometimes, the greatest strength we have is each other. 💚

A warm welcome to our newest board member, David Calfee! 💚🐾

David brings over 40 years of experience in management and strategic consulting to the Paws for Patrick Board. He began his consulting career at McKinsey & Company before becoming a founding member and partner at Bridge Strategy Group, a leading management consultancy later acquired by Houlihan Lokey, where he served as Managing Director prior to his retirement. Before his consulting career, David practiced corporate and securities law as an attorney in Chicago for seven years.

Since retiring, David has dedicated his time and expertise to supporting nonprofit organizations through leadership and board service. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Service to School, helping military veterans transition into higher education, and previously served as a director at Beacon Place in Waukegan, Illinois.

A lifelong dog lover, David is passionate about canine welfare and the powerful bond between humans and animals. Outside of his work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, and his seven grandchildren. He also loves singing with the Northwest Choral Society and playing golf.
