Gia has surprised us all today with her new X-rays. Good news is she can very likely give birth naturally (babies aren’t too big for her pelvic canal, which is a concern for French bulldogs and sometimes pugs, too) BUT she doesn’t have 5, like we previously thought… it’s 7! 😩🤦🏼‍♀️

Both Pepper and Gia are due any day now- who will be first??? ❤️🐾

Buzz is wearing Teddy down, and that’s really saying something 😂 Teddy is a foster brother who doesn’t love when his foster puppies get bigger than him… but he’s been making an exception for Buzz, who is stealing hearts right left and center!!

Proper introductions can be key for assimilating your new puppy into a household, and with the right resources, guidance, and approach, even dog selective pups can happily welcome a new family member to the house.

@pawsitivebeginningsla to the rescue! It’s the babies first ever night of quiet sleep!! How relieved momma must be. She knows her family is safe!

She arrived at the shelter as a stray, and gave birth just four days later.
Grateful to the committed foster who stepped up and made it possible for the rescue to help!

It’s the mama trying to sneak in there for a bite for me haha. Ellie’s babies are almost four weeks old, and ready for solids. They just had their first ever meal, and safe to say everyone was thrilled. Meet & greets will start in about two weeks for this litter! ❤️🐾

Taffy’s babies are almost ready for adoption! They have a bunch of events coming up, and can’t wait to meet you all! Please reach out if you’re interested in volunteering, fostering, or adopting. Taffy is the most grateful, sweetest little girl. She’s just a puppy herself, and her silly character is really starting to shine through! She’s so excited to be here - can you believe she was barking at everyone and you couldn’t get near her just a couple of weeks ago? The feeling you get when a parvo puppy is discharged. So much relief, love, happiness, and a solid IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. Clover’s care cost $4,200, so if you’re in a position to help, we would so appreciate it, but every interaction, comment, and repost is incredibly helpful, too. Thank you to @apurposefulrescue for your support and help, @hellosouthladogs for working so hard with us on this rescue and reaching out about our girl, @lilahboxerprincess for immediately jumping into action to drive her, and @erikaa.min for fostering this baby, so she can get back to herself in love and peace. Of course @slatonvet and @dssilva6 for going above and beyond for her medical care!!! Next on the list, bath and groom! But that’s for another day- for now, just lots of love and rest! ❤️🐾🍀

The text that made my heart stop. How could such a precious beautiful baby lose her life just because some irresponsible human didn’t protect her. Clover was filthy, scared, and dying when she got dropped off, and we wouldn’t… couldn’t let that be her last memory.

We had an hour to pick her up, everyone came together to support however they could - looking at you @hellosouthladogs @apurposefulrescue @lilahboxerprincess - and sweet Clover was on her way to @slatonvet.

Over the last 36 hours she has received monoclonal antibodies, antibiotics, anti-nausea and supportive meds, one plasma transfusion, and multiple blood draws to keep tabs on everything. She’s receiving fluids, and definitely improving. But the next 24 hours will be crucial. We are still looking for a foster for this baby, so please reach out if you’d like to learn more. In the meantime, she does have one more night at the vet, and we are all holding our breath that the name Clover 🍀 will prove to be lucky for this baby! ❤️🐾

If you ever wonder if your donation made a difference or was used, let me assure you: it was life-changing! We get through so many of these soft items - blankets, beds, toys. Sometimes they get ripped up, sometimes they need to be thrown away if we have parvo, and sometime, that shelter poop just won’t wash out. Every time you donate something, it goes right to a puppy or a mama who has never known comfort or safety in their short lives. You provide us with the opportunity to spoil these babies and show them what life SHOULD feel like. Thank you to @hands_2paws for these amazing goodies, we feel the love today! ❤️🐾
