‼️72 HR MEDICAL RESCUE NOTICE sent 6/21‼️ “Chorizo” #A5560461 6yrs wht/tan Male Shih tzu 18 lbs.

::Medical summary::

This cutie is an approximately 6-year-old male (intact) Shih Tzu mix. He came into the care center as a stray on 6/13/23. He was noted to be unable to use his hindlimbs. He was sent to the private veterinarian for x-rays. The x-rays showed some narrowed space between his vertebrae. This can indicate that he has a slipped disc (IVDD). He should be seen by a private veterinarian for further diagnostic testing. He has been started on a steroid to help with pain and inflammation from the possible IVDD. He also had discharge around both of his eyes. A test for dry eye was run and confirmed that he has dry eye. He started on drops for his dry eye, but he will need continued follow up care with a private veterinarian.

Behavior:
Fear-Anxiety-Stress level observed at intake: (1) Low; FAS
Other behavior observations: friendly, go slow, vision impaired.

Give it up for Winston!!! One of Mamas 6 babies 🤎 Winston is one of the most active puppies (other than Wally!) and he’s also the one that likes giving the most kisses 🥰 Winston is curious, spunky, and outgoing! He has a thick longer coat like his sister Wednesday and is as cute as can be! 🤎 Eventually, he will be available for adoption through @pawsitivebeginningsla

Today, we are trying to raise funds for our sweet senior mama, Barb. Barb is a 7/8 year old mama dog who has been through some horrible things in her life. For no apparent reason, her puppies were taken from her at two days old. The shelter asked us to pull them, which we did. @pawsitivebeginningsla bottle fed them for days until we realized that mama was still at the shelter and losing her mind. So we picked her up and reunited them.
She has come SO FAR in the few months that we’ve known her, and we know she is capable of even more.
We are trying to raise $1400 to send Barb to two weeks of training, which will help her learn to trust, and learn new skills that will make her more adoptable.
We’re calling it “Twenty Dollar Transformation!” If just 70 of our almost 18,000 followers donate TWENTY DOLLARS, it will mean a completely new life for Barb. Most of her puppies have found their furever homes, and she deserves one too!
Show this former mama that you love her, and donate today!
