Paws of Hope NYC started with a simple yet powerful need: finding a sense of purpose. It wasn’t about numbers or making a name for myself; it was about two special souls, Kennedy and Bloomer, who changed my life forever. They were my purpose when I needed one the most. In them, I found a deep sense of meaning and fulfillment, simply by giving them a better life.

Kennedy and Bloomer are the heart and soul behind @pawsofhopenyc, the true inspiration that drives everything I do. Their love has been a light in my life, a constant reminder that even in the darkest times, love can make all the difference. They’ve given me more than I could ever repay, and my goal has always been to share that same love with those who need it most.

Every cat I rescue, every life I touch, it’s all because of them. Because of Kennedy and Bloomer, I’ve learned that love is a gift meant to be shared. They’ve shown me how to give without limits and to open my heart again and again, even when it hurts. And that’s what I love most about this journey: being able to pay forward the love they’ve given me, one cat and kitten at a time, with the hope of making their world a little brighter. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @pawsofhopenyc

Rolex is a little love bug who wants nothing more than to be as close to your heart as physically possible. Rolex doesn't just love affection. He craves it. He seeks it. He lives for it. The moment you settle into bed, here he comes, ready to curl up beside you and nuzzle his little face against yours. And when I say close, I mean CLOSE. He's a talker, too! He’ll happily hold a conversation with you, shower you with kisses, and gently knead away with his tiny paws as he settles into his happy place. by @pawsofhopenyc

Fostering gives kittens like Jitsu something the streets cannot promise. A tomorrow. Please don't underestimate the power of sharing. Your share could reach someone who has never heard of my rescue. A foster home isn't just a temporary place to stay. It's a chance at safety, love, and an entire lifetime of tomorrows that Jitsu might otherwise never get to experience. by @pawsofhopenyc

Imagine being so tiny in a world so big, with absolutely no understanding of the dangers surrounding you. This baby should be chasing toys, not searching for safety. The only thing standing between this baby and a better life was just one person willing to provide him something the streets never will; a fighting chance. Sometimes the only thing separating a rescue story from a tragedy is whether someone stepped forward in time. Jitsu deserved that opportunity to experience a better life, and I committed to giving it to him. Jitsu is now neutered, fully vetted, and available for adoption. Foster needed. by @pawsofhopenyc

The circumstances surrounding Ren’s disappearance left me with more questions than answers. The person I spoke to claimed that they were away when the incident happened. They said the cat was with a family member when he jumped out of the vehicle. They weren’t on a routine trip to the vet. There was no legitimate reason for the cat to be in that vehicle. The cat has never been to a vet before, and he isn’t neutered or microchipped. The person couldn’t even tell me REN’s exact age. I actually met and tried to rescue this cat a few nights ago in front of the garage as we returned from my family’s house at about 3 am. Unfortunately, one of my colony cats chased him away, and he hasn’t been seen since. REN may have come from Queens, but somewhere in Brooklyn, there’s a frightened little indoor cat who deserves to be safe. And until we know otherwise, I’m holding on to hope that he’s still out there waiting to be found. For now, my priority is finding him alive and getting him off these streets. by @pawsofhopenyc

There’s an extremely concerning situation involving two community cats named Blackie and Freddie who have reportedly lived on the grounds of IS.303 Herbert S. Eisenberg in Coney Island for over a decade. According to the person advocating for them, the school no longer wants the cats on the property, and an exterminator has been brought in, multiple traps have been placed, and efforts are currently being made to capture these cats. And what makes this even more heartbreaking is that the caretakers reportedly have safe placement available, but they’re not allowed on the property.

I’m asking the NYC rescue community, TNR advocates, animal lovers, and anyone with connections within NYC Public Schools to please share this. Cats who have survived outside for more than a decade should not have their lives put at risk when people are standing by ready to help them. Their lives matter. And right now, they need people willing to speak up for them. Please share. Their safety may depend on how quickly the right people see this. by @pawsofhopenyc

Every single life I’m able to help depends on someone opening their home. This is Creamsicle. His owner posted him online to find him a new home. I’m willing to take on the responsibility of helping, but I need someone willing to provide the temporary home that makes that possible. Please DM if you can foster or are seriously interested in learning more. And if you can’t foster, please share and repost. The person this cat needs may already be following one of you. I’m trying to say yes to one more cat. I just need someone who is willing to say yes alongside me. Pledges are incredibly helpful and will also help secure safe placement if a foster within my network isn’t found. Thank you for your support. by @pawsofhopenyc

This is a baby who thinks his best friend should be hugged every chance he gets. Kevin, formerly known as Gambino, is now in a home where he belongs, surrounded by a family that will get to love him for the rest of his life. Seeing an animal I once feared losing become someone’s whole world makes every terrifying moment I experienced in the beginning worth it. Gambino got his happy ending. But the financial part of his rescue didn’t end when he went home. As a small rescue, that balance doesn’t disappear when an animal is adopted. I carry it with me into the next emergency. And when they pile up, they directly affect how many times I can say yes when another Gambino needs someone.

If these pictures make your heart happy, please consider helping me finish the rescue that made them possible. You’re not donating to a vet bill. You’re helping create the next picture like this. Another cat making it out of the ER. Another abandoned animal learning what home feels like. Another family becoming whole because someone they were meant to love was given the chance to survive. Gambino is proof of what happens when people come together and refuse to give up on one life. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps me get closer to being able to say yes again. Gambino is home. Gambino is loved. Gambino made it. Now please help me make sure he isn’t the last one who gets that chance. by @pawsofhopenyc

Every unspayed mother left behind can mean another litter needing rescue months later. We cannot solve the community-cat crisis by continuously removing kittens while leaving their mother intact. Rescue the kittens, TNR the mom if she’s not friendly, and look for the dad and other friendly or feral cats intact in the colony. Break the cycle. That is what full-circle rescue and TNR look like. It is crucial to save the babies in front of us but is equally important to prevent the next litter from ever needing rescue months later. by @pawsofhopenyc

One of the most important things we can do in rescue is practice full-circle TNR. We must remember Mom, even if she would rather not be rescued or live indoors. If we fail to intervene, the cycle will inevitably repeat itself. And another litter is born into the same dangerous circumstances we just rescued her babies from. There are at least two P3 moms and one friendly intact male at this E.N.Y., Brooklyn location. TNR saves lives. Fosters save lives. We greatly need and appreciate your support. Different ways to donate are linked in my bio. by @pawsofhopenyc

Rocco was left with nothing but the collar around his neck. I can’t get over how quickly he melted once he realized he was safe. If you donated to Rocco’s medical fundraiser, I need you to see these pictures. So when you donate, you’re not just helping pay a vet bill. You’re helping an abandoned cat who was curled against a building become this cat. Finally able to close his eyes without being afraid. Someone decided he was disposable, so I want every decision made for him from now to remind him that his life is worth fighting for. Someone let go of Rocco once. I’m asking you to help me hold on to him until he’s healthy, healed, and finally home for good. by @pawsofhopenyc
