Spay/neuter is CRITICAL for our furry family members. This is a good reminder of WHY❗️Share this in hopes of someone with an unaltered pet will see this and take action! @pawsofhopenyc thank you for posting REPOSTED: @pawsofhopenyc Behind every scar is a fight for food, a territory battle, or a night spent hiding from danger. Behind every litter he fathered is another generation born into suffering. Neutering isn’t optional; it’s protection. It’s safety, dignity, and a chance at a life that doesn’t end in pain. Please, don’t let your cat become this story.

Little Pumpkin Pie is recovering from surgery!
Of course his leg was saved due to the big hearts and great surgeons at @animalsurgicalcenter.
We couldn't do what we do without their compassionate team.

This little guy was found out in the rain in Queens. The finder reached out to a fellow rescuer without disclosing that he was injured. When we saw her post we reached out to offer assistance . That was in October and although she had him seen at the vet for initial care, she found out the kitten was given back to his owner.
Sometimes owners care but can't help and weeks later they wanted to surrender this boy so he could get the help he needed.

Thank you so much @pawsofhopenyc for advocating, keeping on top of this and getting the little man to us!💕

After 7 long hours of standing outside, we did it! These little furballs are headed to the ASPCA tomorrow for spaying/neutering. Huge thanks to Daisy for toughing it out with me, Gissell for teaching me the ropes, and Quay & Maria for keeping them fed! They've already found a forever home with Daisy's friend. Community effort = happy endings!
